Operation Darkness, while the final boss was a gigantic robot demon vampire cyclops monster with a sword sticking out of it, was still underwhelming because they made the mistake of having Hitler be the second to last rather than last boss.

Yeah, that was really disappointing considering he's one of my personal favorite FF villains.

Actually, I think most of the final bosses in the Final Fantasy series are disappointingly easy.

That's not really a final boss though. Modern Warfare doesn't really have Boss fights.

OT: Doom Dragon from Golden Sun: The Lost Age. Beat him by repeating basic at it and occasionally healing. Dullhan was also easy with the right combination of summons.

StarFox Adventures: I was all set to fight General Scales but got a cutscene and Andross.

Grandia II: "Yay I killed a moth that was bent on destroying the world!"

Demon's Souls

Seriously, after all that you make me fight that weak ass mud monster?

Guy playing here is dealing terrible damage with that sword, when I did that guy I was dealing over 500 damage with that sword.

Borderlands. I don't think it even had any attacks. It was the most pathetic boss battle I have ever fought.
i think that there were so many epic mini bosses as the game progressed that it sort of makes up for it though....
OT: is no one going to say halo 3? all you did was shoot guilty spark with a laser a couple times then drive for 5 minutes

any game who to kill the final boss doesn't take skill or items you've collected and accumulated throughout the game, instead you just have to shoot the big convenient spike above their head -_____-

Resident evil 4

Considering the other ones in this game the final boss, Sadler came off as kinda boring and very easy.
he looks like the first boss from zelda ocarina of time and the fight is just about the same.

Flipping Salazar was awesome! He pops out of a meat flower and tries to eat you
And let's not forget Bitores Mendez. Ok, the battle itself wasn't so impressive, but he's an 8 foot tall guy that chokes you at every opportunity. And his name is Bitores Mendez. How could he be more awesome! (Note: not a question)
Oh, right, bad bosses. Hmmm. I'll just say Borderlands like everyone else. Fun game though.

The Portal monster from Border lands. What a fucking waste of time.
The Secret Armory of general Knoxx kind of redeemed it, but I agree with you. The entire game you're expecting to find a giant vault filled with weapons and mods and money and you end up with bad hentai.
Oh... Oh, you are a bad person.
I do wish we'd actually found that vault though.

Um... Nobody mentioned Prince of Persia:Sands of Time yet?

Seriously that almost ruined the game. All you do is block and hit. No skill involved at all.

What comes to mind at the moment is the final fight in Half Life 2.
I remember being extremely annoyed when all of the weapons that I earned throughout the game were taken away. One of the things that I have learned from playing games over the years is that you save up all of your most powerful weapons for the boss fights. Once I knew that I was nearing the game's ending, I started to conserve the secondary ammo for the pulse rifle and SMG, as well as all of the rockets and grenades. I was expecting Dr. Breen to climb into some kind of mecha robot thing which I would have to take down. So I took out a bunch of enemies with my crowbar in an attempt to conserve ammo for the last fight during some of the climactic fights, only to have them all taken away. Sure, the last part was cool, and the supercharged gravity gun was a ragdoll physics fan's wet dream, but I felt like I was being built up for nothing. Why couldn't I have fought some big Strider thing with no way to restock ammo before I got everything taken away with the containment field, giving the illusion that I was going to be destroyed by a bunch of Combine reinforcements, followed by the actual destruction of the teloporter thing? That would have been so much more satisfying!

Darksiders. You can beat him with your stock character. It ruined the entire game for me, and until then I was looking on it favourably.

These threads have been done to death.

Fable 2, Bioshock, Mass Effect 1 all had pretty terrible final boss fights.

I found Assassin's Creed 2 boss battle to just be some kind of punch fight. And they even seemed like old friends, just babbling away as they knock out teeth.

Resident Evil 5: Wesker kicked more ass WITHOUT Uroborus. All he did in the final match was swing his arm. Hell, one swift rocket shot to the ass killed him. Yet before, he dodged bullets and EVERYTHING, rockets included. Hell, the mate CAUGHT my rockets everytime lol. Sure I blew them up afterwards, but still.

And inFamous: It was an amazing boss, and I LOVED the ending, but what disappointed me was the difficulty. I got the ball kicked out of me so easily. And it took forever to whittle away Kessler's health. Plus Kessler didn't do anything special. He didn't move fast, even. Just walked slowly and blasted you.

And Resistance: Fall of Man: There wasn't EVEN a final boss. You shattered tubes while dodging aliens and Angels. That was it. Nothing more than a few plasma bullets and BAM, done.

All four were still great games though :3

Demon's Souls. After taking down some tough baddies like the Flamelurker, you fight what is essentially a slug with a sword. Slow with weak attacks. If you shoot arrows or magic at him, you can stun lock him to death.

it's one guy, with one sniper, who has cheap-ass aim and you kill him with a QTE
1 had a bloke with a shotgun and his friends, 2 had a drugged up bloke with a shotgun and grenades. No snipers involved at all.

The first game I thought of was PoP Sands of Time (the first game). I'm really amazed that it took five pages before someone mentioned it. And yeah, Gears of War 2's end was also a huge disappointment.

Personally I would have to say the Persona 3 and 4 (true) bosses were far too easy. In 3 it was even arbitrary.
