You can hate Mario games, right?

Was I the only one who grew up not playing Mario? I mean, when I started gaming at about age 3 or 4, I started with Crystal Caves, Duke Nukem, Wolfenstein 3D, Jazz Jackrabbit and Commander Keen, among others. You know, the old school PC games. As a result, I never got into Mario as a kid, and I never really enjoyed it when I was able to play it (we didn't have a console until the late PS2 era).

The only Mario games I've ever had a lot of fun with are Super Mario Galaxy and the Paper Marios (not SUPER Paper Mario, just Paper Mario and PM:tTYD). And I've played most of the originals, and all of the new 3D platformers.

I've always quite liked them, but its your opinion and you're entitled to think whatever you want to.

Yes of course you can hate it. I mean come on it's not like there are some evil Nintendo hired moderators that come to people's houses, point a gun at their heads and force them to play the Wii for a while.
If you don't like the plumber you don't have to.
I mean no one forced me to like Halo, Bioshock, Portal, Mass Effect, Gears of War, Half Life 2 or Fable. I just like them, that's all.
