A gorilla, a big one.
First of all, they're big enough for me to piggyback on.
Secondly, my gorilla (named Chad, for reasons unknown) would act like a bodyguard.
Imagine I'm getting mugged, without a gorilla, I'm a sucker getting mugged, but with Chad at my side, I turn into the guy ordering a giant gorilla to beat up criminals.
Lastly, I can put little hats on Chad. Seriously, tiny hats on huge apes is the 7th funniest thing ever.

I would pick a tiger, because it is a Kitty with badarsery over 9000. Or I would pick a Penguin or Polar Bear, they are all so cute!

An ostrich. I want to have one.
There's actually an ostrich-farm near me, but they don't let me get one for my own, for some reason...
I'm not actually sure if I'd want a version of the animal that's perfectly trained from the get-go. Or even totally friendly, because if that's not part of the nature of the animal, it's not.
And I enjoy training animals. I certainly feel closer to my ferret because I had to work to train her not to bite or poop around. (She's the sweetest best behaved little furball now who knows all kinds of tricks)
It's also fun to have animals that you know bt thataren't your pets. There are foxes and owls and one seagull and a pair of swans that live near me, and that I know, even if I never even feed them.
Also I consider the bats who live in our house 'my' bats.

Either a Dogo Argentino or a Boerboel. They're both dog breeds. One of them is highly illegal. I say 'highly' because in Autralia you can still get illegal breeds if you meet certain conditions and get permission from your council and do some other stuff, the Dogo Argentino? Yea...good luck with that.
