No. In the Portal games, you clearly use it on regular walls. It works (to my understanding) on nearly any flat solid surface. Play that level, and listen to Cave Johnson: he says it's great for portals. Not that it's the only one. In fact, you were portalling off normal walls in the chambers prior to that.rhizhim said:

Holodecks are basically magic. Apparently they can generate sentient Life out of thin Air when you tell them too. You tell the Computer to create an Opponent able to outsmart the Android who's going to play Sherlock Holmes and the Holodeck has a sentient Version of Moriarty for you.

Well, although I'm not the first one to say it, I would take a TARDIS, so long as its chameleon circuit was working. I love the police box, but I would also like the option to switch it up, maybe make it an outhouse just for laughs. The question is: which model would I want? I think I would take Smith's though, just because at some point it looks like there's a pinball-thingy in it, and I love me a good pinball-thingy.
