...you know, I think that just about overrules anything else I had in mind! hahahaSaintcole said:What ever game is advertising on the Escapist when I want just want to watch Videos
It is this creepy Interactive DVD game where you see a live action woman in a room (you've kidnapped her). The goal is to induce Stockholm Syndrome in her (wherein she's basically traumatized and brainwashed into thinking she loves you). You do this by raping her, torturing her, mentally abusing her, threatening her, etc. Until you completely destroy her and she "loves" you. Then you win. And the entire time the actress is acting all traumatized and scared and freaked out...and it is portrayed as sexy and erotic. It is super, super creepy. This game? That is the game I'd wipe off the face of the planet.zombiejoe said:um...what is Stockholm and why do I feel scared now?trooper6 said:For Video Games, a tie between RapeLay and Stockholm: An Exploration of True Love.
And if it were table top RPGs we are talking about, It would be a tie between F.A.T.A.L. and Racial Holy War (RaHoWa).
RapeLay was Japanese, but Stockholm was done by some random American dude.this isnt my name said:Wow thats terrible. I wouldn't go with some sort of, "I think this game is overhyped--so I get rid of it!" or "I'm an Xbox/Playstation/Nintendo fanboy/girl so I decide to get rid of the most popular game of the other system because I want to punish their fans!" None of that. WoW, Halo, Heavy Rain, whatever. People like it, no skin off my nose. More power to them. But something like Stockholm? Super, super, creepy...and not in an artistic way.
Yeah, but they could at least put some thought or reasoning in to a response that would actually use the situation to improve gaming as a whole, it's image, or just a specific game. And no, getting rid of Call of Duty or Halo would do none of those things, because those are the games that rest in the area between hardcore and casual gaming that are easing new players into the gaming culture. And Rapelay has never even been sold in any country other than Japan and was out for 3 years before anyone started to care, so get over it, it doesn't affect you.zombiejoe said:Hey hey hey, remember, they have little to no choice in this...I mean it's the mother f*cking COSMIC OWLomegawyrm said:snip
Found out there is an interactive dvd (I guess you can call it a game) where you capture a girl, and do diffrent things to her so she gets Stockholm syndrome and thinks she loves you. Do such great things as.omegawyrm said:Yeah, but they could at least put some thought or reasoning in to a response that would actually use the situation to improve gaming as a whole, it's image, or just a specific game. No I wouldn't get rid of it. There's no point. Getting rid of one piece of rape porn out of the thousands in existence wouldn't benefit anyone.zombiejoe said:Found out there is an interactive dvd (I guess you can call it a game) where you capture a girl, and do diffrent things to her so she gets Stockholm syndrome and thinks she loves you.
