I'm tempted to say I Wanna Be The Guy simply because it exists to cause gamers to rage. However, I will admit that it's fun to introduce people to it.
Similarly, the game based on Star Wars: Episode 1 was pretty dire, but did give me the opportunity to slice Jar Jar into ribbons.

Sonic 2006 takes the cake for me. Not just because it was bad, it was the final straw for Sonic Team. I enjoyed the first two 3D games, didn't mind Sonic Heroes too much, was infuriated with Shadow the Hedgehog and just gave up after Sonic 2006.

I will concede that Sonic is slowly winning me back, however. Sonic 4 is refreshingly back-to-basics, and on the advice of a friend I gave Sonic Colours a go - and I actually enjoyed it enough to play through to the end. So things may be looking up.

I would have to say dead or alive because unlike most of the games discussed in this thread it was truley negative and added nothing to gameing as a whole.

look at things like halo and call of duty i will admit i dont like most of the new ones but without them it would be a loss they have all had a large positive impact on our medium. But i cant see that with dead or alive it only caused gaming as a whole to drop down a number of levels in terms of respectability.

Dead or alive was uncessary and damn team ninja for making such a crude childish game full of retarded sexulaity and immature nudity.

but I'd take, say, the NES port of Hydlide

it was SO disappointing compared to the original one, so much that it was outright bad and was pretty much outdated

and the NES was a lot more powerful than the NEC PC-6001

anyone who says MW2 or Black Ops is just someone who thinks it's cool to hate popular things. For someone to say that MW2 is the worst video game ever made, it just makes them look like an idiot... I could name well over 100 games that are worse than MW2 and Black Ops...

Not necessarily. I don't hate Modern Warfare 2 because its popular, I don't even hate it. But it is not the best game on the market, and everyone treats it like it is. Most of its fan base is douchebags who are "HARDCORE!!!!" or prepubescent children who scream obscenities. The story was stupid and criminally short while the multiplayer was frequently filled with exploiters/cheaters.
