Ace Ventura: Pet Detective

For making me hate Jim Carrey and almost missing out on such films as Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind and The Mask which are awesome.

Highlander 2: The Quickening was my first pick... and then I was reminded of Highlander: The Source. The horror... the horror...

High School Musical because by extension it would prevent so many other movies from having been made.

OR if that's not how this works then Underworld 2. That shit was BAD.

Jaws.

The Blockbuster turned cinema into the 'industry' it has become.
Before Jaws, crap films didn't make money.

It's a shame because Jaws, and it's partner in crime Star Wars IV, were ironically pretty good.

A small sacrifice to make, I say.

I am gonna defend the RE films here cuz I saw them and I enjoyed it at the and I'll admit they weren't the best movies I've seen (That being Psycho and Nightmare on Elm street)
(until you compare them with pretty much every other movies mentioned here)but they were not bad in my opinion since i had to go and watch all the twilight films with my little sister since our big daddy in the family just didn't bother

Probably The Last Airbender. I want to KILL M. Night for that movie.

Let's see how long it takes someone to say Twilight.
Agree 100%, thought I was going to love it as much as the show but nope. It was terrible.

OT: Scary Movie. Partly to stop the flood of parody movies and partly so Seltzer and Freidberg don't have any reason to be working in Hollywood.
Very much this. V for Vendetta or Watchmen, too. Perhaps these alternate-reality versions would actually do justice the the source material.

Ahhh, now this one is a sinch, Son of the Mask. This abomination has no redeeming factors, no reason to exist and stands as the single worst movie I have ever seen in my life.
Well, I'd love to be able to say that, but you beat me to it, so I'm gonna go with Transformers. Hated that movie.

Gobots: Battle of the Rock Lords. This the standard by which I measured bad movies. If you don't know what Gobots are then you are lucky. Also Spiderman 3 and Xmen 3 ruined Marvel for me.

Twilight. For ruining vampires. And you know... stuff.
Seconded. Then we dont have to deal with all the crappy sequels aswell >:D
The books would still be there, so it wouldn't help.

Ghost Rider. That was the worst super hero movie I have ever seen. It was even worse than The Hulk. I'm still angry at Nicholas Cage for completely ruining Ghost Rider's character.

The Last Airbender
the more recent Clash of the Titans "reboot"
Speed Racer, the live action one
the entire Twilight series

There are more than likely several others rolling around in my head I could mention, but they're not surfacing at the moment.

EDIT: Oh yeah, now I remember some more! Scary Movie (all of them) and Meet The Spartans sucked too!
Damn! I was beaten to Meet The Spartans...

I'm usually all for crude humor, especially if it come courtesy of Sasha Baren Cohen. But I'm that movie was the worst piece of shit I've ever sat through!

And the worst part was (because the trailer made it look funny) My mum was there to! That was just embarrassing!

Holy shit, no ones said this one yet? Looks like I'm going to have to say it... I would really prefer not to, I was just starting to forget this. If this movie never existed (and the sequels and the books) this world would be a much brighter place to live. Those monsters in Hollywood weren't thinking of the future when they forged this great evil in mount doom. Now we must throw every copy of it into the closest volcano. the movie is {Twilight} (its in brackets to protect the rest of the site)

EDIT: oh someone did put it up... Oh well, its still pure evil.

Also I'd like to delete Citizen Cain(sp?) So people would have to find another movie they've never watched to point to and say "That's a work of art!".
Citizen Kane is damned good. I might have to stop you from destroying that.

OT: I would say Twilight, but that wouldn't stop the books from existing. After that is The Phantom Menace, but as was said above

Since I can only stop one I can't stop all of the prequels. Therefore, gonna have to say The Wicker Man remake. Or really anything with Nicholas Cage... Tell you what, can I just get rid of Nicholas Cage?
Citizen Kane really was a pretty amazing feat for its time, but if I have to hear one more self-proclaimed "Movie-Buff" bang on about how its it's the greatest piece of cinema ever and nothing can ever compare, I'm gonna fucking lose it

V for Vendetta I can understand, but... you don't think Watchmen was faithful to the original?

Star Wars Episode 1, The Phantom Menace. Seriously? WTF! Also if its a phantom how much of a menace could it be?
you've clearly never had to sit through phantom of the opera. menace to my sanity

OT: transformers revenge of the fallen, my god that was the most boring film film i've seen while still being completely empty.
