You have Portal 2 coming out before Episode 3?

I didn't care much for the Half-life series, sure, they were great games, but the newer ones are just lacking the sort of innovation and variety that I like in games. That's what drove me off almost every singleplayer game in existence.

And I don't see why people are so whiney about this sort of thing. Okay, so it won't come out for a while! Just play TF2, or Morrowind, or, I dunno, Day of Defeat while you're waiting.

True, the sorce engine may have been amazing, but its starting to get old. I still think some parts of Half Life 2 look amazing and revolutionary for their time.

meh, I guess most HL fans/likies are on the same boat but I dont mean to advertise, there is a partition going on in Steam in the HL2E2 discussion for a while now.

If you don't understand then it can't be explained. Some things just make sense to some people.

On Topic: The best way for Portal 2 to end is as follows:

Chell causes some sort of time slip/warp/tear/whatever-you-want-to-call-it after completing the events in Portal 2. The game ends with her on her back looking up at the ceiling (much the way the first game ended). Off in the corner is are the letters "Bor" on what appears the be the hull of a vessel, with the rest of the letters off screen. Suddenly, a very familiar voice calls out, "Holy crap! Are you okay?"
Suddenly, Alyx leans into view, staring down at Chell (and the player). She then looks off screen and yells, "Gordon! Over here!" Gordon looks down at Chell and the screen cuts to black. The End.

What better way to announce Half-Life Whatever than to tie it officially into the Portal time line?

And you fucking ValVe fanboys piss me right the hell off. They give, give you all of this stuff for free that a lot of other developers and publishers would charge you an arm and a goddamn leg for. THe updates for TF2, the updates for L4D/L4D2, all of the tools and such for Half Life and HL2, the updates for Counter-Strike: Source and everything else they've ever released and what do you do?

The day I bother to get the Half life 2 games is probably the day after episode 3 is released, because it probably won't happen until after the Apocalypse.

Either that or Jesus/*Insert your Religion figure* will appear, hand out one copy of Episode 3, go back to heaven (Value employees in tow) and watch as billions of people slaughter each other for the damn game.

And in an unexpected turn of events, the world is saved by pirates (as in game piracy)
