First: If my husband was really gone - I'd have to get a hold of myself because I'd be absolutely hysterical.
Second: I'd make sure everyone I knew was really gone. Either way, I'd build myself my own little paradise (if there were any survivors, I'd invite them)- then once the water shuts off, the electricity and what not - I'd(or we'd) start traveling around and seeing the sites as best as I (we) could, and also look for others. Once I was tired of traveling, or unable to proceed any further ; I'd probably settle down in a small house somewhere in rural Montana. Hopefully with company, be it man or beast.
Btw OP - Am I also the last 'animal' on earth? I mean, perhaps I could keep my dog(s) for company. I'd be pretty damn sad about all the animals trapped and starving all over the world. I guess I could try to release as many as possible. Though, on the same token, I'd also be pretty scared of wild animals taking over and eventually being EATEN ALIVE. ;;>_>
