When you take Fruit Flavored Mentos to be a better speaker. This actually happened to me though. Thank God for the placebo effect.

You know you are playing too much Fallout 3 when:

You start a tree worshiping religion (Either by worshiping a random tree or by living in Oregon, Yes I can make a joke about that because I live in Oregon)

You want to grow a Mohawk and Muttonchops

You are extremely paranoid that a dog is going to attack you at any moment

You try and use human meat to grow a radiation absorbing fungus pool

You notice a very minute similarity between The Overseer and Big Brother (1984)

You only drink bottled water

You are very suprised that bottlecaps are worthless

You think that all children are protected by some magic phase field that makes any object coming at them pass right through them

You spen 10 minutes trying to think of funny responses to this forum, only to come up with a bunch of lame jokes

Sorry :(

When you kill a scorpion, then eat it.

When you hug a bear, thinking when the animal friends perk is going to kick in.

When you subconciosiosly hit the VATS button when you see a bear.

I'd like to say that I was actually caught out with this one. After a Fallout 3 binge, I had another go with Call of Duty 4's campaign, and was a tad surprised when I started throwing grenades by accident.

Another thing that did happen was me calling Mentos "Mentats" on one occasion.

You know you've been playing Fallout 3 too much when you think it's true to the originals.

when you mentally press -F5- before doing something risky, then mentally search for the -F9- button when it goes horribly wrong

Funny, a couple years back that was my sign that I'd been playing too much Oblivion.

i guess it can apply to any game with a quicksave/quickload function, just some more than others

Same thing happened to me! I remember thinking "quicksave quicksave quicksave" whenever it looked like I might need a second chance on those speech checks. Luckily I always noticed that there was no F5 before I made an overly risky choice. After playing fallout I never held on to grenades for very long due to my need to freeze time so I could kick someone I hated in the balls 3 times then quickload before he could retaliate.

yeah, lol. i mean, i never take it seriously, it's just a sarcastic method of self-motivation

like if i'm skiing and am about to drop off a blind cliff, i'll just think -F5-. then after i fail, both legs are crippled, and hp drops to 18/250 with nary a stimpack to be seen, i'll probably be screaming "EFFF F_CKING NIIIIINEEEE!" to no avail. how's that for your last words? xD

Last time I was out in London, I found myself looking around for Talon Company mercenaries when I exited an Underground station to street level.

...I think I need to lay off the caffeine. Or the Fallout 3. Psh.
