Hmm. I haven't really heard good things about Mexico right now. So, looks like I'm moving to Canada. That doesn't sound too bad actually.

Actually, I have been to Mexico on vacation quite a few times in the past. And it is pretty nice there.

Well, the Netherlands border two countries, Belgium and Germany. So it really is a no-brainer and I pick Belgium. Pretty much no difference but with better food and nicer people (and terrible road sign-age, but I'll manage to live with that).

Taking a slightly longer view (including across the water), there's the UK, which is a nice place to visit, but I don't think I'd want to live there for the rest of my life.

If your government doesn't mind we could switch houses. Though France does sound tempting.

If we really want to get technical, and most likely piss off one of maybe two groups, I can just head up north, hop over a border and suddenly be in part of the UK.

There are lots of little tiny islands I could move to to, Isle of Man, Aran Islands, and of the course the biggy, Britain.

As a resident of the United States, my choice would be Canada. No debate. They are everything the US should be.

To be more specific, I would go to either Vancouver or Toronto. My choice would likely be skewed towards the latter because I have family in Toronto...

And if you're that worried about safety, just pick a tourist spot to live the rest of your time. Mexico has got a shit ton of those.

By the way, and in case you didn't already know, just by glancing through this thread you can get a good idea of America's general feelings towards Mexicans...

actually it is our attitude about mexico, not its people. I have heard good things about its people (also heard they are pretty good with silver). But the drug wars, weather, and general poverity are a big detrement. if there wasnt anything wrong with mexico, its people would not flock to our country so much that illegal immigrants are a concern.

that and the language barrier. Although honestly i would imagine that the weather is a major factor.
