I just finished Portal. Yes, I've seen the ending before, and all that. Thing is, I bought it about a year and a half ago, and have had it installed, have played it, but got stuck on Chamber 18 (I couldn't get the timing right). Something got into my head during the week that made me REALLY want to finish it off, so I loaded it up yesterday, hoping to jump straight in where I left off. That's when I was reminded of the fact that I had done a system wipe, and my savegames were gone. 'No big deal,' I thought. 'I've gotten that far before, I can do it again.' So I did. And then I went on and finally completed the game today.
Of course, that was just a little bit of irrelevant backstory that leads into my point:
The Point:
Have you ever gotten frustrated with a game, or had a new game come along and distract you, so that you set it aside, but then, at a later stage, found yourself thinking "Man, I really should finish that game" ?
And, as a secondary question, how long have you set aside a game for before completing it (One's you haven't completed don't count)?
EDIT: OK, Games you've still not finished count too...
