Lost Odyssey. The part with 5 bosses at once trying to destroy a city and you have to kill them before they get to it.
I was stuck on that bit for about a year, and completed it the other day. I was so happy!
This is where I'm stuck actually. Haven't played it in quite awhile because of it.

Also Star Ocean 4. Last boss but I just can't do it. They made it so I can't get the last sword and the boss fights are so ridiculously long I quit before I even get the boss to half way. Which I'm under the impression takes 3 hours to do.

Ehh...Devil May Cry 3, Portal, Half-Life 2, Jak X: Combat Racing...

The list goes on. But I know how all of these end, I just have no motivation to finish them. -shrug-

I have never finished Okami, and I got it fairly soon after it was released.

Legend Of Zelda: Orcarina of Time (The desert-ey place I cant find the thing to get you through the desert),
It's in the well in Korkoriko Village. You have to go back in time to when you're a kid again and play the song of storms in the windmill to drain the water out of the well and then go inside it. You'll find the Lens 'o Truth in there. You learn the song of storms from the windmill guy when you're an adult. (Holy time paradox Batman!)

Oh yeah, I have a few. Battlefield: Bad Company, The Darkness, Gears of War... I think I'm really close in Bad Company. Same with Gears of War. I've just been really distracted by Assassin's Creed II and Mass Effect, in honor of Mass-Effect-2 Day.

I didn't think it was hard, but I stopped around that giant spider boss who negates your ink. I'll probably get back to it once I'm done with Tales of Symphonia (that I have an excuse for, I didn't actually get a copy until relatively recently).

i know you said games you finished but i havent finished fallout 1 or 2
i bought them last summer after i beat fallout 3 because i figured such a great sequel probably has a very good original game
i kept getting frustrated with the originals
i kept dieing because my freakin attacks couldnt hit the broad side of a barn
and it also came with fallout tactics (it was a collection CD) which was even worse your squad mates have no motive unless you tell them too
i probably will beat the games eventually but right now they just PISS ME OFF

Final Fantasy 8

I was somewhere at the beginning of disk 2 (I think) when my idiot brother saved over my game. The frustration was immense but I slogged through to somewhere on the 3rd disk before I had to return the game to the friend who was moving out of town.

Then, I finally bought the game for myself, started all over again, got to the last disk and then promptly got distracted by shiny, newer games.

It will never be finished.

Final Fantasy: Tactics on the PlayStation
I've had it for 11 years now, since its release. I still can't beat the damn thing.

I just finished Portal. Yes, I've seen the ending before, and all that. Thing is, I bought it about a year and a half ago, and have had it installed, have played it, but got stuck on Chamber 18 (I couldn't get the timing right). Something got into my head during the week that made me REALLY want to finish it off, so I loaded it up yesterday, hoping to jump straight in where I left off. That's when I was reminded of the fact that I had done a system wipe, and my savegames were gone. 'No big deal,' I thought. 'I've gotten that far before, I can do it again.' So I did. And then I went on and finally completed the game today.

Of course, that was just a little bit of irrelevant backstory that leads into my point:

The Point:
Have you ever gotten frustrated with a game, or had a new game come along and distract you, so that you set it aside, but then, at a later stage, found yourself thinking "Man, I really should finish that game" ?

And, as a secondary question, how long have you set aside a game for before completing it (One's you haven't completed don't count)?

EDIT: OK, Games you've still not finished count too...
Sort of Off topic but when people say "You STILL haven't completed that game! *more talk here about how easy it is*" Deep down I make a wish that they contract aids.

I end up feeling bad about it, but something about that attitude just makes me hate them so much for at least a short period of time. You not included since you were using it as a catchy title to combat that response.

i have 2 games to still complete, shadow of the collusus, and loz:link to the past. both of them at the last bosses, which are rage inducingly hard.
Link to the Past isn't really too hard, on the final battle all you have to do are dodge the Fire Keese and keep on hitting Ganon. And you have to get him with the Silver Arrows once he puts out the torches, but it's just a matter of dodging. Do you have the lvl 4 sword?

EDIT: on topic, the only game i don't think i'll ever finish is Zelda II. I'm stuck on the Valley Palace, because Thunderbird keeps killing me.
