Seriously though there is alot, Im a big fan of Devin Townsend's Ocean Machine Biomech, Camel's Mirage, Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here, Paradise lost's Draconian Times, Cynic's Focus, Death's Symbolic, Strapping Young Lad's City, Electric Wizard's Dopethrone and Im really diggin' Miracle of Sounds Level 1 at the momment.

My all time favorite album would have to be Passover by The Black Angels. Every single song is amazing, and just mind blowing. Seriously everyone should check this album out.

This album is fucking awesome. I listened to it virtually non-stop in middle school and I still love it now.

Great album! It's good to know that people still listen to their best album!

It really is. It's one of those albums you can just fall into and immerse yourself in completely.

Hmmm that's not expected, I would have thought Excitable Boy.

Excitable Boy would be my second favorite album of his, followed by Life'll Kill Ya. I chose Learning to Flinch because it has such a great track list, and all the songs are performed with a 12 string, or piano. Or a slide guitar in Worrier King's case. Despite the audio quality not being amazing, it sounds... great.

And that extended version of Poor Poor Pitiful Me is one of my favorite songs--ever.

The first one with the two Halloween mask wearing people is Brand New's The Devil and God are ranging inside of me.

According to RYM, it's Considered to be one of the best Emotional Hardcore albums ever made (yes, I hate to use the term Emo).

Yep. Hmmmm... I can see why people would describe it as Emo but I don't know if that's the best way to describe it, especially since tags like that generally give people the wrong idea about the style of the music since they've been misused so much.

Well...Brand New is more traditional Emo, like Rites of Spring, and Sunny Day Real Estate, not like My Chemical Romance, or Fall Out Boy which lends more to the Pop variety. It's kinda like the difference between Brostep, and Dubstep really, all are of the same category, but have totally different sounds.

Your right though, trying to say that to someone who isn't too clued up on Emo music would be kinda hard, as there's a lot of stigma attached to it, that's mostly why I prefer calling it Emotional Hardcore than just Emo, it's more respectable to the genre I feel.

Or you could just call it Post-hardcore like I do and avoid that redundant and quite frankly ludicrous tag (Especially if you're gonna lump Rites of Spring and Nation of Ulysses in there). Speaking of which:

It's a difficult choice and I'd probably put Fugazi's whole damn discography in here. I don't even really believe in favorite albums or artists, but these guys and these two albums are definitely up there somewhere.

Barring compilation albums (cause i dontt hink that should count since thats purposely picked to be the best songs thus far by the band), I'd have to say Alice in Chains' Jar of Flies album EP.

Mainly cause it has my favorite song (I Stay Away), but also cause it has one of my favorite non-lyrical songs (Whale and Wasp, which I actually wrote an entire paper on for a humanities class about what the meaning was that I perceived to be), and the first appearance of Nutshell arguably Staley-era AiC's best song and ont he whole AiC's best song (it gets hard to say that now that they've switched genres to a more hard rock/metal with Black Gives Way to Blue when they were previously Grunge).

Plus I like the art the and it was the first ever EP to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 in music history, so theres that too.

Oh god no, I'm way too young for a favourite, and I barely listen to music by album so a favourite is hardly representative. And I always forget three or four bands when recalling so again not representatives.

I've been loving this one album lately though, it's really good. The baseplayer from Led Zeppelin (Jean-Paul Jones) started a superband (which is an actual term, I googled it don't worry) with the frontman from Queens of the Stone Age (Josh Homme) and the frontman from the Foo Fighters (Dave Grohl, also former part of Nirvana). Anyway their first album was SO fucking good, really looking forward to their second one.

For me it has to be "Forever Autumn" by Lake of Tears. Perfect album (If i am in the mood). every song absolutely awesome.

I have this song of it here in my car since about 12 years (on tapes, CD, MP3... whatever) and in my playlist on my computer.

Such a brilliant album. 10,000 days is easily my favorite Metal album ever.
