Hell yes I would, mind you I do have this fascination with being a big damn hero, only problem is since I am trained as a medic I would end up doing that but at least I would like it.

It would be useless to fight for my country, considering that No-One would bother attacking us. It would be a lost battle from the beginning, considering that our army is compromised of 2000 soldiers with little more than basic training, not to mention that most are occupied with desk jobs. Our arms are nothing more than a room or two, I have seen them, filled with cheap AK's and pistols donated from China and a few trucks and a helicopter donated from Italy.

Joining the Danish army? Nah, we won't hold more than a few minutes anyway.

*Breaking news: Denmark invaded and occupied by Sealand, after fierce fighting Denmark has signed a unconditional peace agreement and is now a part of Sealand."

If someone invaded Canada, I'd have a weapon in my hands. I will not arm myself for any other reason.
Invading Canada, HA

My reaction to that;
HEY! BRING YOUR ALL YOUR FRIENDS! YOU'LL NEED 'EM! then I'd leg it

It depends on whose invading and what type of government I'm defending. If some socially oppressive government was invading the U.S., I would probably take up arms. But if a more favorable government were invading I probably try to avoid getting in the way. I don't have alot of loyalty to any country but I would back a particular regime I like.

If it were for a legitimate act of defense, yes, I'd do whatever I could, though battle wouldn't be the best place to put me (unless it's a zombie crisis).

Hello fellow escapee's! second thread here, hope you like it :)
(any grammar problems, just tell me)

I was sitting here watching military history channel and as usual i would daze of thinking about if i was in that war and whether i would survive and it and so on. (does anybody else do that?)

But the real question i propose to you is, If your country was in crisis would you sign up for the army?

I mean as in threat of invasion. Like the nazi's were thinking of invading england. I would definetly sign up! as i would feel a sense of pride in trying to protect my family and friends by fending of the savage beasts!
I think the flaw with this question is that, if your country was invaded by another that posed a serious threat, conscription would likely be in effect. You'd have no choice in the matter.

Yes, immediately. As I have said before, I would fight and die for Ireland. Assuming the war wasn't an act of aggression on our part, and we were in danger of being attacked, then yes, certainly.

Frontline combat too, I can't imagine being much good at anything else. I wouldn't want it to have to extend to conscription though.

And were we to lose the conflict, I'd simply take my rifle, scatter to the forests and conduct a war of attrition!

No. I'm not going to just walk off, have a gun pushed in my hands, and execute a plan from someone I've never seen or heard off. I'd rather have some local militia or something.
