That's one big page, yo.

The most important being video games of course.

The video game is an electronic game that involves interaction with a user interface to generate visual feedback on a video device. The patent for a Cathode-Ray Tube Amusement Device was first filed on January 25, 1947 by Thomas T. Goldsmith Jr. and Estle Ray Mann, and was issued on December 14, 1948. Eight vacuum tubes were used to simulate a missile firing at a target, and the device featured knobs to adjust the curve and speed of the missile.

Every country has it fair share of smart people, and sometimes, one of these geniuses creates something bloody amazing that everyone loves. So what is your favorite invention by someone in your country?

I'm from Sweden, and my favorites are 1. The fridge, and 2. Spotify.
Canada for me, and maple syrup for mine. Who knew that tree blood could taste so good?

There may have been a mix up here, perhaps you guys came first but while googling "notable irish inventions, I found this site [http://www.patentsoffice.ie/en/student_inventors.aspx], and this little passage:

---Holland, John Phillip (1841-1914) Liscanner man, John Phillips Holland, is accredited with launching the world's first successful submarine, the 'Fenian Ram', in 1881. He also invented a mechanism for submariners to evacuate their sinking vessel.---

I'm just going to google a bit more. :)
In 1620-1624 Cornelius Drebbel built and tested 2 submarines. The third model could stay underwater for 3 hours and carry 16 passengers.

And Ireland invented the Tank, the Submarine, and flavored potatochips.
Actually, us Dutch invented the submarine. And the telescope, the microscope, the CD, speed cameras (sorry) and the artificial kidney.

Sweden's best invention huh?
Well, the zipper is a really useful one,
and I think DOTA is Swedish.
Um, DoTA is part of Warcraft III, so I don't think so. Do correct me if I'm wrong.
DOTA is a mod, and as such not officially created by Blizzard. I think a Swede made the mod.

I like airplanes, or nuclear bombs. and Aircraft Supercarriers (If America didn't invent the aircraft carrier it sure as hell perfected it)
Space shuttle is pretty sweet too.
