Good morning/afternoon/evening to everyone. The point of this thread is to discuss what you do when you are depressed to take your minds off things.
I listen to Greenday (those songs actually make me feel better) and play shooting games.

What do you do?

Go to therapy. Ring my case manager. Check I've taken my meds.

I'm deadly serious.

When I'm just down though, I cancel appointments, game and watch CSI. A good murder always makes me feel better.

*...shuffles away from you*

Listen to equally sad or sadder songs. Play games. Anything that makes me take my mind off it.

Depression, or just feeling down?

'Cause I'm on meds for depression and anxiety, which help things a bit.

If I'm just feeling in the dumps I look for things that will make me laugh, like 30 Rock or Scrubs or Zero Punctuation. That or I listen to music I love.

Also if it's a weekend I sometimes go out with friends who are my polar opposites and have some adventures lol.

Gorging myself on junk food and listening to up beat music of the 40's and 50's that I got from Fallout 3. :p

"Wish on the moon
And look for the gold in a rainbow
And you'll find happy time

You'll hear a tune
That lives in the heart of a bluebird
And you'll find happy time

Though things may look very dark
Your dream is not in vain
For when do you find the rainbow?
Only after rain"

If those things don't cheer you up I don't know what will.

When I'm feeling particularly bad I will just go sit in silence and stare at the ceiling till I feel better which is odd because my feelings of depression stem from me being lonely yet I have to be alone in order to feel better.

I DID go on light medication and psycho-therapy.

I don't get depressed anymore.

When i am depressed or am sick of people i do something physical. Recently i have been doing Krav-Maga, hiking, and sprinting. I still vaporize THC when i really need some motivation, nothing is more exhilarating than hiking through nature while being completely high. I found that I can conquer the woes of the world by having both a mind and body experience.

I have actually been eating healthier, sleeping more, making new friends and I feel that just going out an hour a day to do something physical has really turned my life around.

PS. chicks dig six-packs (they come with the lifestyle)

Find something positive out of it and do not let my mind brood on whatever is causing this depression. Find some entertainment to take my mind of it or talk to friends about it.
