Game creator. It may be frustraing, I may suck at modding compared to some, but I'd enjoy it a lot, despite the frustrations and work that comes with creating a game. It'd preferably be making an FPS game.

Dreamjob would be something that had to to with computer or videogames. Gametester, gamejournalist or game storywriter etc. Though I'm probably going to be a highschool history teacher, that's what I'm studying for at the moment.

I think my dream job would be a Runner. Provided I was actually in-shape and nimble.

In reality, I'd love to be a novelist. That's kinda why I'm learning towards it, yeah?

Drew Carey has the job I dreamed of doing growing up; hosting The Price is Right.

My dream job would be to be a regular feature writer for a gaming or sports publication---a cross between Jerry Holkins and Bill Simmons.

Projectionist at one of the theaters that uses digital projectors. Press a button, relax for an hour or two, then repeat. Plus, free movies whenever you want.

1. No, but you'll be less respected as an artist. You may not care about it, but I do.
2. So having wanton sexual encounters with varying people doesn't play into your judgement of one's character?
2B. I apologize, I suppose I'm more conservative than you.
3. Fascinating. You're a standard hormone charged teenager.

4. Do not call my argument 'condescending BS'. It is disrespectful and not conductive to an intelligent conversation.
1. I doubt I'd declare having sex as being a fine art or anything. There is definitely an art to it, but being generally respected as an artist is one thing, and it is another for me to be after the respect of others. If what I do is harmless and people hate me for it, then I have little regard for their opinions, because they are prejudice. I respect myself and those who'd rather know me personally first before forming an opinion. To me, that's healthier. I don't go around telling people my way is better for them than their own. That, on your part, was condescending, and remains a hollow argument.

2. No, it doesn't. Being promiscuous does. Being reckless does. Being unfaithful does, but nothing here necessarily ties in to having lots of sex with strangers. I think you automatically took me as a man of little integrity. Most people in Western culture (others as well, granted) consider faithfulness to extend to sexual monogamy, but I do not subscribe to that belief and so this argument does not contradict me.

3. I am not a teenager. As far as I know, sexual drive does not require one to be a teenager, merely post-pubescent.

4. I suspect that your arguments were ill-thought-out and subjective. The fact that you snarkily labeled me as a dismissible hormonally charged teenager is condescending, sir. I will still brush that statement away as bullshit.

OK, how about the fact that you will be sick most of the time from a combination of STDs and regular illnesses passed along via sex? thats right most porn stars are sick the vast majority of the time. Or maybe the fact that a porn star suffers the same fate as the game tester in that you slowly become totally desensitized. You would start hating sex, wanting to do other things with your free time. The joy would slowly be lost from the act of it and you will start seeking things you never dreamt of doing just to get you back to normal. Add to that the fact that youll probably only have a short stint in it at best and after that your left with awkward nostalgia and I think you can see its not a 'dream job' at all.

Ruining sex for yourself, being ill alot, potential to get something really bad and prerequisite of physical attractiveness, energy level and mental willingness. Hows that for a better argument?
1. I am not aware that every pornstar today has STD's. As far as I know, it is a profession which carries health standards. Most major porn studios require their actors to wear condoms and take medical tests before hiring. Additionally, STD's suffered by working as a pornographer are often settled in court or covered by the production firm. I'm pretty sure that with today's awareness such notions that every pornographer is diseased are but a myth.

2. I agree that desensitization can be a true setback, and so is burnout. Desensitization, however, happens in all areas of life. We get used to everything we do normally. I, for one, am not in the pornography business and so I cannot tell you how far sex desensitization goes, or how far game desensitization goes because I'm not a gamer. If you are either, I welcome you to shed some light on the matter. What I do do a lot, I try to do moderately, and when I feel I do too much, I take a break. The issue is that when one is a professional, taking a break is not always an option, so in that respect it'd be wise for me to have other skills if I were to become a pornstar, but then, so is the case for a musician, actor, composer, painter, psychologist, doctor, writer, mathematician, etc. I've heard many stories from many people about how they had to face burnout and take a vacation, indulge in drugs, take up a hobby, or have a personally reformative experience to knock out of it. So seeing how in my experience I was exposed to many such cases from many different professional angles, I suppose we all have to ask of ourselves how we are going to handle mental fatigue. The only specific dilemma this has to do with being a pornstar is whether or not it is worth it to be desensitized to sex, or to music, or writing, etc.

3. Who knows how long my stint would be? How about Ron Jeremy's? Are you following the story of Boogie Nights too closely, there? I never said I had to be the top actor at all times, either. Perhaps what you say will be true but all you're doing is predicting the future, which without hard data is a time-wasting indulgence. You merely gave me the reason why _you_ wouldn't want to be a pornstar.

These arguments are no good. I'm still not convinced. You'll have to do better.

Radio Host.

Anything in entertainment really. It's where the majority of my skill lie.
I'm a radio producer and I've been a jock. It's really fun, but there is a lot more work involved then people think.

But still...loads of fun.

On topic: My job right now is my dream job! Radio producer! Woo!

Ok, well I would LOVE to get into voice acting for cartoons or video games.

I am very close to my ideal job right now actually (not to brag or anything).

I am a programmer, and while there is always some grunt work to be done, because I work in a small (3 person) company, we can share in the grind as well as go over the exciting new stuff.

I love learning new programming languages, and since starting I have already taught myself (with a bit of the help at the beginning from the boss) a couple of them. Did I mention I mainly work from home? While I do not exactly set my hours, I DON'T have to get up every day and say, oh no, let me go to work, it's snowing outside and so on. The ONLY way it could get any better is if we were programming video games, but since my boss/co-worker and I have been discussing a possible one for the distant future, I'm OK with that for now. I'm going to spend my free time working on my own anyway, so wahoo!
