I remember hearing that some far off great uncle of mine was the last guy hanged for sheep stealing in Scotland. I guess thats kind of cool.

Nathan Bedford Forrest, the first Imperial Mage of the KKK was my great great great uncle or something.

I feel dirty.
If it weren't for the KKK bit that title would have been awesome. Damn KKK ruining all the best job titles with their racism.

Not too famous, but I'm related to Louis Robichaud, the previous premier of New Brunswick who fought for French rights and made the New Brunswick the only bilingual province in Canada

Apparently, one of my ancestors was the first chief of the Creek nation to be elected to that position, which is an important milestone in the tribe's history. There's an entire section about my family and their importance to the Creek nation in several Oklahoma encyclopedia's and official histories of the state.

Well there was something about English and Scottish nobility that I'm related to because of a treaty that the two families agreed to and had the Scottish daughter get married to the eldest English son therefore starting a new family entirely henceforth creating my family name but besides that not much.

My Mom claims I may be related to Clark of Louis and Clark but I'm skeptical of it, because it seems everybody and they're uncle has a "famous ancestor" and last time I checked my ancestors were humble German peasants.

My great-grandparents weren't famous, but they were damn good artists. This one picture in my grandparent's living room depicts this tree lined New Hampshire lake, its absolutely beautiful.

The President Chester A Arthur and Chief Black Fox.
Although Black Fox is really more famous among the Cherokee Tribe.

Side note, I went to high school who was a direct descendant of the guy who shot Franz Ferdinand, even had his last name.

Bet History class was awkward for her.

The guy Mel Gibson plays in Braveheart is my ancestor. Turns out that movie was a true story.
