I'm going with Avatar, because I have not seen District 9, and likely won't as I no longer subscribe to any DVD rental service, and will never buy a DVD.
It's not that unpopular.Kortney said:War of the Worlds (the newest one - with Cruise) is my favorite alien themed movie. I know that is probably an unpopular choice, but I really enjoyed it.
The very opening scene is of a something in space crashing in mid-west America. It is only an assumption, but to me that means that the Grabboids are aliens.JinxyKatte said:Tremors are not aliens are they??Batfred said:For comedy - Tremors
I remember the good old days of liking what we liked and not liking what we didnt like. Without having to worry if you were conforming or being a none coforming emo asshole.AkJay said:I don't know many "alien" movies. So I will go with Alien and District 9. and Signs, by M. Night Shyamalan.
People are conforming to popular-nonconformity by not liking Avatar. Does that mean you are being a non-conformist my not conforming to popular un-conformity?Nex-Falx said:I'm going to fight popular-uncomformity and say Avatar...
Quiet.
Grabboids are not aliens. The very opening scene is Earl sleeping in the truck and kevin bacon wakes him by bouncing on the truck and yelling stampede.Batfred said:The very opening scene is of a something in space crashing in mid-west America. Batfred said:For gritiness - The Thing (Kurt Russell version)
For dakka dakka - Aliens
For comedy - Tremors
For 50s/60s B-film - The Village of the Damned
For overall - Avatar or Transformers : The Movie (animated - and the only true Transformers film)
EDIT: I forgot a category...
For tongue-in-cheek ridiculousness - Starship Troopers
Agreed, but I also enjoy District 9, and Signs.Nex-Falx said:I'm going to fight popular-uncomformity and say Avatar...
