Your favorite game ending

Many games have endings, in fact, all proper games have endings.

Which game ending is your favorite and why ?

Final Fantasy X's ending for me, even though it was a sad one.

Saints row 2 had a pretty nice ending. ( not the secret one)

And actually i liked how Fallout 3 ended.

Whats so wrong with a game actually ENDING. Thats it. You won the game. Wanna dick around? sure, just use the most recent save before taking he last quest.

Although the game wasn't really great itself, the ending to Unreal 2 was decent and surprisingly saddening. First and last game to really pull my heartstrings with its ending.

I have a few, definitely most of the FF's they are very rewarding
Also Star Ocean has great endings.
Mass Effect as it promises so much!

The (multiple) endings to Planescape: Torment are still awesome 10 years later. Killing your mortality was awesome if you finally managed it.

Epic in the proper sense of the word

The secret ending of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
Satisfying for two reasons, one violent and one sexy

Mmm, I thought the ending to the latest Half-Life episode was particularly excellent.

It had a really nice sort of... theatrical air to it when Eli died. Also the helicopter looks decidedly enticing, can't wait for Episode 3

FFVIII, IX & X, Kingdom Hearts, Portal, Saints Row 2, that's just for starters. I guess you could count FFX-2... only the 'Good' ending. The 'perfect' ending grates just a little.

Portal, because the game ended at a decent length and has room for more.

I liked Prince of Persia 2008's ending, even before they released the DLC.

Spoiler: I don't see why people disliked the whole idea of:

The prince undoing everything because that's what happens to some extent in any series that is going to have a sequel, how else could they continue that story if Elika was still dead?

People issue wasn't the game ending

Spoiler: but

how they used deus ex machina. There was at least two companions in the game who could have went into that room instead of you but they make up the ridiculous excuse of it being "your destiny" to die in there, even though it wasn't dangerous for them in the slightest/

The ending to most Metal Gear Solids, especially Metal Gear Solid 3 are pretty epic.
