You don't have to know what type it is specificaly,or what is so special, just post an image of a game you really enjoy, visually.

Mine is stuff like this, from Deus Ex. I can tell I will not tire easily of playing this.

*EDIT* Or World of Tanks

Even though it has less of a wide range of colours to it.

Cell shading is my favorite. It has the most potential to look the best, out of every specific style.

BlazBlue Continuum Shift. Beautiful.
-There It Is-!!!

Edit: But I do really like the Cartoony vibe Team Fortress 2 gives off.

Generally the kind that STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl had i.e. if God were to stop taking his anti-depressant meds, then create a bleak, deathly world.

I prefer for my games to have a cartoonish or artistic look to them. I'm not that interested in how well the developers can render rocks and mud.

Games that come to mind are:

Rebooted Prince of Persia
Team Fortress 2
World of Warcraft
Okami was the closest I've ever played to feeling like I was running through a painting.

Definitely the hand drawn style. Okami, Tales of Vesperia - anything like that. Even the sprites from the 16-bit era looked good. Any time a game is done with polygons it will look outdated within a generation, no matter how good it looks at the time. Cell shaded is good, although PoP doesn't do it for me. BlazBlue looks great though.

Long live the gritty gray and the olive drab. Don't hurt me, Yahtzee.

Anything that 10 years or so later is still perfectly playable without it looking terrible.

Things like Worms Armageddon and Timesplitters. Hopefully Team Fortress 2 will hold out as well, I'm pretty sure it will.

Things that look realistic now won't look realistic in the future.

Big Worms Armageddon Screenshot.
Click it for full size if you care.
