the katana for samurai masters only: the chokuto. it was thin and feeble, sharp as hell and really really light. if u couldnt handle it properly, it could break when u blocked a 2h weapon with it. the ones that could use them had used many many years to learn it.

to be blunt...

your body

no not " my body" yours

that being said as the martial arts I do follow with is traditional jujitsu (not sport) and kendo...so basic idea, keep you away from me until you make a move that I use your own body against you, gain dominance over your arms, and thus your leverage...at which point I would have an option to destroy the joints, and bone, break your neck, choke you out, or if your a armoured assailant, take a short blade under your armor :)

Im a sadistic ***** when I really think about it.

Bo. To be precise, an octagonal 6 foot bo made of Purrple heart, a rare wood from America.

Kung Fu focuses on attainging proper form, then learning to move faster and faster while maintaining precision. Which is exactly what Quickdraw is. So yes, there is a "art of the handgun." I know you only care about old school weapons, but yes, it does count as an "art of the handgun."

Most definitely a rapier, or barring that a sword-cane. Speaking of which, I wonder if you could get one licensed in Australia...

This isn't for pure aesthetic, either. Being a fencer, I'd have a better chance of winning a fight with one of those two than any other close-combat weapon. I would be worried by anyone with something truly big though.

Very dangerous one too. Remind me not to rob you on your way home k?

I learned karate as a kid and i picked up krav maga recently. Since the latter has emphasis on self defense there isn't really a lot of art to it. It's really just KICK HIM IN THE BALLS THEN KICK HIM IN THE FACE THEN RUN. We actually spent an entire lesson learning how to properly kick someone's nuts =P

Back on topic. I really like a slim machete. Those can be really quick while offering a lot of hacking power. ( or whatever you wanna call it. Basically just power to slash someone really badly )

Actually the correct form of the word is "Nunchaku", anything else (example: Numchucks) is an anglicized or worse yet bastardized version of the word, and the U at the end isn't silent if you pronounce it correctly.

Happy training!

I believe the correct spelling is Nunchuku... but then again, the final "u" is silent so who cares?
Well for my favirote meilee weapon, the tonfa.
If I wanted to be deadly with it, I'd add a couple blades at the end of the pair of tonfa, also I'd try and have more protection at the handles.

I personally love the Hawaiian weapons. The coconut fiber garrotes and the shark tooth knuckle dusters look pretty cool on my wall. The koa wood daggers look pretty awesome too.

Meh, the final u is about as silent as the u in "colour", despite being pronounced, most people (Americans) ignore it/don't pay any attention.
What I meant to say is: it is a SHORT u at the end, which is why it could be considered unpronounced.

[a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_fu]Gun Fu![/a] Fuck Yeah!

In martial arts movies fights with staffs and three-sectioned-staves (36th Chamber!) tend to be the coolest to watch.

Zweihänder, of the ancient martial art style of "chop someone in half with a huge frikkin' blade"-Fu.

I also like hookswords. I probably couldn't work out how to fight effectivly with them if I actually had a pair, but they're still wicked cool.

I'll go for this. It's Silent, small, no need of bullets :p and less costly :D and most of all dangerous

but the disadvantage is distance, if so I'll use throwing star [http://www.weapons-universe.com/Martial_Arts/Throwing_Stars.shtml] to do the job :)

The classic martial arts weapon, the sword.

The sword... it's the best weapon of all - two sharp edges and a long spine. The vital thing is the point; pay special attention to this... your life could depend on it.
I'm actually teaching myself Iaido right now. It's awesome X3

There's also the three section staff. Kick-ass on toast, I tell ya.
