fists? since that's now allowed....then something fist-complimenting like knuckle-dusters or something :D Besides that, staffs, bows and throwing daggers own^^(would've said katanas too, but that weapon doesn't need more followers xD)

The problem by saying "Martial Art" weapon is that the wording is... well, its crap. Martial Arts simply means the art of fighting, so any melee weapon applies.

As Eddie Izzard once said "football hooligans are the most undignified bunch, it's all martial and no art", so there is an art to it especially wing-chun or Tai-Chi Chuan (proper Tai-Chi is probably one of the most deadly arts about, unlike the BS they do in the gyms).

East: Chinese Tai-Chi sword
West: Short sword
Two handed: Long staff, or chinese butterfly knives.
Stealth:nothing more stealthy than a longbow, think of it as a sniper weapon of it's day;)

I think the nunchaku's are the ultimate in 'martial arts weaponry'... Enter the Dragon; I rest my case.

I also think the butterfly knife (if used by an experienced person) also ooze awesome.

Hmmm...definitely torn on this. Practically, tonfa are the easiest to hide and are surprisingly painful. On the other hand, a katana is the only type of sword I would even consider using battoujutsu with, and nunchaku and naginata are pretty awesome, but difficult to conceal. The sansetsukon is ridiculously painful, and the kodachi is easily dual-wielded (kind of my thing). Oh, and I can't forget the kusari-gama (sp? I've always spelled it this way, but somebody said I was wrong the other day, and I can't type Kanji). That thing is surprisingly quick and deadly.

Here's my breakdown.
Close (non-deadly): Tonfa (dual-wielded)
Close (deadly): Kodachi (dual-wielded)
Distance (non-deadly): Sansetsukon
Distance (deadly): Kusari-Gama

As far as western martial arts go, I don't know enough about the weapons they use to judge.

What are the weapons that Talim uses in Soul Calibur? Wikipedia calls them elbow blades and I guess their similar to tonfas, but does anyone know if the weapon type has an actual name?

Do brass knuckles count? You said pre-gun weapons and technically, brass knuckles have been around in some form or another as far back as ancient Rome.
I guess I have to give brass knuckles the loop hole in my no fist rule.
