So this is simple enough. Which is your favorite Studio Ghibli film? Personally my favorite by far is Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. I just love the music and the animation is amazing. And in my personal opinion it's a far better "be good to the planet" movie than Avatar.

I've only seen one, so Porco Rosso. Cary Elwes doing his best fake Texas accent and Brad Garrett as a goofy sky pirate? I enjoyed it a lot.

I'm a big fan of Mononoke and Nausicaa of the valley of the wind. Both have sufficiant action and characterization for me to like them.

on other note, did you know Shia LaBeouf was in the english dub of Nausicaa. He plays a minor role in the story, but when I read his name in the credits, I almost spited out my drink.

Really? I found the Beef to be quite noticeable. Not bad (though not great either) but he certainly does sound distinctive, IMHO.

I can tell you what it isn't, Nausicca. I really don't enjoy that movie.

I'm quite the fan of Kiki and Totoro

Porco as well. Dat Texas accent. I like how he was also not a bad guy, an antagonist and an annoying one but he did have some nobility to him.

Princess Mononoke hands down
Same answer.

Has the most interesting characters and is the biggest eventful adventure of all the Ghibli movies I've seen so far.

I haven't seen Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind yet though, I'm gonna watch it today if I can get it.

Definitely Spirited Away, though I've liked every Studio Ghibi film I've seen except "The hearts Whisper" which was honestly kind of boring.

I couldnt name my favourite, i love all of them, although Totoro is special to me. Neko Bus!!!!
My sentiments are thus expressed...

All the ones I've seen I love pretty much equally, albeit for very different reasons. But if pressed, MNT gets my vote.

Moving Castle, if only because this girl and I promised each other one dance to the "Merry-Go-Round of Life"

I really enjoyed all of Miyazaki's ones but the film I enjoyed the most was "Only Yesterday"...

It's such a sweet, normal story that has been told exceedingly well. I also love "Whispers of the Heart" for the same reason.

Mononoke Hime (Princess Monoke in English, but fuck it, this is the only one of the titles I can spell), just beautiful, dramatic and filled with great characters and plots. I'd say this is Miyasaki's masterpiece.
Considering I think he spent 16 years developing the story and characters (if Wikipedia is to be believed), it damn well better be XD.

OT: I've seen all of Miyazaki's films except My Neighbor Totoro, and I'd have to say that Princess Mononoke and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind are tied for my favorite, with Spirited Away coming in VERY close second.
