We all have one. That one weapon in a game that you just love to use, even if there are better weapons available! What is it for you guys?

For me, it's the Mace of Molag Bal in Skyrim and the Bolter in 40k: Space Marine.

The Mace is just visually fun for me, especially with the Black star in combo. Funny how the "good guy" carries a mace that Eats People's Very Soul!

For the Bolter, it's the sound it makes when you shoot it. That metalic "thunk" it makes when you pull the trigger that can't compare with the "Pew Pew Pew" of the plasma rifle.

I love using bolt-action rifles with iron sights/red dot sights in FPS games. can't explain why (maybe it's the one-shot kills at close range). Also, I just like low-zoom sniping in general.

Lucky from Fallout New Vegas
Love this revolver, there are better hand guns in the game, but this one has a higher critical hit chance and is just a great looking gun. My character has like, 9 luck, so I find the weapon very fitting :D

I have a few.

The redeemer and the shock rifle from the Unreal Tournament series.
the M416 in Battlefield Bad Company 2.
The experimental MIRV from Fallout 3
The gnasher and the boomshot (so long as the other team doesn't have it) from Gears of War.
The Maliwan Pestilent Defiler from the first Borderlands.
The black knight greataxe from Dark Souls.
And lastly the remote mines from Goldeneye on the 64.

In general: curved swords, any scythe revolvers, and sniper rifles.
To be specific: the Bandit's Knife, Quelaag's Furysword combo in Dark Souls has yet to let me down, and has a brutal parry if you boost it high enough;
Two-shot Revolvers by Tediore in Borderlands, they may suck, but the idea is fun, and a headshot will equal a kill;
Nothing says insult to injury like a face full of piss with the Sydney Sleeper in TF2;
The baseball bat in Smash Bros, the weapon that changes your current character into a less good looking Capt Falcon;
Nevan from DMC3, it's a guitar that turns into a scythe, summons electrified bats, and turns Dante into Man-Bat X Electro

When all else fails, a sturdy sword is best.

The Cerebral Bore from Turok 2

The Fire Bee Grenade Mod form Borderlands 2
The Soul Reaver from Legacy of Kain.
The Ballistic Fist/Archimedes II from New Vegas
And pretty much all the weapons from Turok: Rage Wars

I appreciate their killingsmanship

The Javelin gun from Dead Space 2.

It's a speargun that impales enemies to walls, and then electrocutes them, and then explodes. It's simply GLORIOUS!

Mine would have been the Ranger Sequoia, Brush Gun, and non-DLC Ranger Armor set.

It's still pretty hard hitting and rare equipment, but it's only really competitive with a 'cowboy' build. Something about it just clicks on me.

Edit:
Also, the all powerful keyboards from Typing of the Dead

I mean sure magnums shoot in bursts and can take down groups faster, but you don't need to reload the keyboard of doom.

The WaW version where if you shoot yourself or another player is would fuck everyone up or down people. It took real skill to use this weapon old school style.

Currently playing Fallout 2. P90 with 10 agility means you can fire 2 bursts a round- 24 shots while everybody else gets one. Does decent damage too.

The gun that beats all the others, the BFG from Doom. Nothing else is more efficient at clearing out a room full of demon spawn.

The only pro and con I had with that weapon was:

Pro - it eliminated the clusterfuck of weak demons

Con- Instant killed the Archvile (favorite mob) and he would kil anyone who shot him without anyone shooting him back, sure he would res but he would kil the cyberdemons, mancubus, fields, pain elementals and the big spider guy and would not res them. BFG is awesome but it was to frequent for me.

The fire axe from Fallout New Vegas.

Somehow, it feels nice n' heavy, very satisfying to swing.

Also, with the park ranger hat, you can pretend to be a post-apocalyptic Smokey the Bear.

Pulse Rifle from Half Life 2. The sound, feel and impact, just perfect. Also Gluon Gun from Black Mesa.

Then there is the Hammer Shotgun in Borderlands. It may be slow but It can toss midgets...across the map.

Nuchuks from DMC3 becasue Bruce Lee.

The Gunblade from FFVIII. The weapon has upgrades but...most of them are tacky. I don't know, I just love it.

Then the Hyperion weapons from Borderlands. Even if I have a crappy Hyperion branded gun, I'll probably keep it because it looks awesome.

The katana and axe in Left 4 dead and the...uzi-looking weapon that seems to have a silencer attached. To me, that's the best weapon in the game for anything.

And finally, Dragon Age: I like to keep and upgrade the weapons I obtained during my Human Noble origins story. Because they were a family heirloom and my family is dead, dammit!

Shark gun from Armed&Dangerous.... it shoots... Sharks. What's not to love?

But I very much enjoy melee weapons, big gauntlets, powerfists etc. and spears and polearms in general. I am doing staff fighting in real life, and they are awesome weapons.

Also, crossbows. Crossbows are fun.

I'll say the Widow from ME2/3. Instakilling people through full shields with one headshot all day. So fun.

I don't like proper weapons as much as full skillsets. Like X-23's amazing rushdown in UMVC3 or Noel's gun-fu in BlazBlue. Everyone is BB is a rushdown character sort of, since it's a run not a dash for almost everyone. Noel for example can sprint to the other side of the screen in two seconds. Noel punches people with guns though. Cool!

Oh and Diana in LoL. There's always this constant fear of getting lamped by one Q then getting destroyed instantly by full combo. She just sits right with me somehow. Maybe I just like the mix of long range harass and jumping on people. Jumping on people is cool.
