There is others, but they are my favourites... from stuff I've seen and/or played, and to the poster who said ciaphas cain, he isn't really an antihero per se, more a cowardly, self-serving hero, his methods are by the book, even if his motives aren't. But hey, thats just my opinion on the matter.

...of course now he is a legit hero who saves the universe on a day to day basis, free of charge (and recognition)...

He doesn't just save the universe, he protects the entire DC timeline

I'm not sure if he counts (I personally don't really consider him an anti-hero, but a lot of people do), but if he does, Clint Eastwood's "Man With No Name" in A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly gets my vote.

Otherwise, probably Sweeney Todd. Such a fantastic character.

Clint Eastwoods characters from many of his movies are the ultimate anti-hero and cooler than an ice cube

My favourite anti-hero has to be Travis Bickle (Robert De Niro in Taxi Driver).

Erm, I disagree, Rorshach was a general hero, just was unforgiving and old-fashion.

If you consider a serial killer to be a hero, more power to ya. Rorshach is pretty much the first character I think of when someone says "anti-hero". Seeing as how he's a wanted criminal, as well as a hero who generally attempts to do "good", he's actually the closest thing to a text-book definition of an anti-hero.
