couldnt agree more. The game was great except the crappy random ass ending that made next to no sense at all. Still had great music. I am also surprised no one has mentioned mega man X music. Zero's theme, X1 opening stage theme, armored armadillo, STORM EAGLE!! Those games had some truly awesome music.

I gotta say we need some creativity on these forums, we've had a ton of this topic over the last few months, always favorite soundtracks, no favorite tracks or favorite composer...

Anyway, some awesome soundtracks I have yet to mention:
-Banjo Kazooie/Tooie
-Lineage II
FFX-2 (I wrote a review once saying that I hated most of it, but it's really grown on me since then)

I did say favourite tracks as well, I never said it had to be the whole soundtrack. As for my favourite composer...hmm a tough one that, I like Sakuraba, but whether I could single him, or anyone else out as a favourite? I don't know.

Sakuraba FTW!! 2 greatest soundtracks ever written: Valkyrie Profile 2 and Eternal Sonata. period.

I'd have to say that Jeremy Soule is one of my favorite composers.

He's really good, except for his work on Oblivion. It's like he was recovering from massive head trauma and was supposed to avoid vibrant music.

Anything by Harry-Gregson Williams (namely Metal Gear series and COD4) and the original score to Final Fantasy VII, one of the first good soundtracks for games featuring a number of styles and even choirs. A far too detailed response, but...ah well.

Guilty Gear series, Shadow Hearts: Covenant, Castlevania (SotN, AoS, 64, CoD, LoI, RoB (including remake) and LoD), Terranigma, Illusion of Gaia, Tales of the Abyss, BioShock, God of War (all of them) and God Hand.

But the whole OST is awesome. ( I know the game is older than the world itself but I still play it)

Someone else who thought God Hand had awesome music! Thank Christ for that! I would also nominate OutRun 2, Tomb Raider Legend, all the Katamari games, Starfox Assault, The Punisher, Silent Hill 2, Onimusha 2, the Shenmue games, Fahrenheit, Aquaria & Braid.

Wow, that was great. Reminds me a lot of Avenged Sevenfold. Anyway, my nominations go to Sonic 2, Super Mario Brothers (how has no-one said this yet?), Bioshock and, of course, Portal.
