I think we all have them: Favourite Movies, Music, Games, Shows, Brands of Unicycle, that no one else seems to have heard of. Share yours. I'll start us off;

Earlier this summer I saw "Moon". It was quite a low-budget movie, about a man who works on the moon for three years providing the Earth with energy, his only company up there being a robot named GERTY. The movie was absolutely fantastic, and I just loved it. Unfortunately, I think I might just be the only one I know who has heard of it. I think in total it's made about 1.1 Million, which is not so much as far as movies go. What a shame.
So tell me internet, what's something awesome that no one else has heard of?
You forgot Books!
And for me, it's a little known book called Roadside Picnic. Funnily enough, probably everyone knows about it's legacy. It was the Genesis for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.
Based on the book Roadside Picnic by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky.
Everyone here should read that book. Possibly the best sci-fi read you'll ever have.
Yes, books too. For the record guys, it can be anything, not just movies and the like.

My favourite band, Evans Blue, before they kicked their singer out because he wasn't the sound they wanted anymore (they wanted to go mainstream and now have a shitty singer with shitty lyrics)

The old British comedy series "Fawlty Towers" and the movie "Brazil" and the musician Mike Patton (He was in about six bands I think and they're all good).

EDIT: Clip from Fawlty Towers.

What?! Fawlty Towers is a million miles from something no one's heard of.

Over here in the New World it's not as well known.

Hogs of War. It was a game for PS1 and (I think) PC. It was a bit like Worms, only way better.
I just loved playing that game with a friend of mine, when I was younger. I still he still has it. Maybe I could persuade him to lend it to me...

So I've discovered from the responses I've gotten. Here in The Middle of Nowhere Florida no one has heard of it, most people here haven't even heard of Monty Python. It sucks.

PBS, the trendiest station around.
Yeah, I maintain that plenty of people have never heard of that show, which is a shame.

Jin-ROh, one of the ghost in the shell director's earlier works, very metaphorical and would take at least 2 sittings for a normal person to understand everything.

It's my fault really, should've had the sense to check your country.

Honest question, have you heard of it?
Yes, and I think it is a lovely country. Everytime I've been there I've loved every moment, as opposed to Spain, which is a sweltering cesspool of the very people I wish to avoid - my own countrymen.
I think everyone thinks that way about their own country at some point, I mean next year I'm moving to england and i couldn't be happier that i'll never see another Maltese person again :)

(Applies in Finland only) Drinking foregin beers, British ales, German wheat beers, Czech lagers and Scottish stouts. Man they're good. Everyone else in here only drinks the Finnish horse urine they dare to call beer. I think they don't know what they're missing.

Other than that, some really good underground bands, mostly doom/stoner metal.
Have you ever tried Salmiac liquor? I almost puked when I tried to drink one shot of that... I can't tell why people drink stuff like Karhu or Lapin Kulta, either. That stuff tastes like piss. Maybe I should try those foreign drinks sometime.

Well, my favourite thing must be salmiac. Even though I can't stand Salmiac booze, salmiac itself is just so good... And then some bands like Iceman and Clazziquai I like a lot.

What I'd like to mention is my country ''Malta'' Honest to god, 98% of the people I meet in any form of online setting have never heard of the entire country, Which is really sad when you think about it.

Honest question, have you heard of it?
Yes, but I can name basically all the European countries (including the tiny ones like Andorra, and yeah I'm bragging) so I might not count as typical.

Even worse: You wouldn't believe how many people can't locate The U.K. on a map. I mean, this isn't a tiny-tot like Luxembourg, it's the fucking U.K.! It amazes me that people don't learn this shit ever.
o_O, Okay i understand people not noticing Malta, we're a speck of dust on the world. BUT THE UK? Who on gods green earth who has access to some level of education doesn't know where it is, or at least what it looks like? It has a pretty distinctive shape.

Oh god, that's just the beginning of it. You wouldn't believe how fucked up education is in the U.S. At least I go to Canadian public school, which is something of an improvement.

I've heard quite a lot of horrible things about the US education system, but I assumed they took the time inbetween drooling and beating up the ginger kid to look a freaking map.

Ah, teh grand finnish speciality, "salmari" aka. "salmiakkikossu". Salmiac liquor, about 38% alcolhol. Great stuff. The ammonium in th salmiac fades the taste of alcohol so you can drink a lot of it quickly.

To anyone ever visiting Finland: if you can't down a double "salmari", don't go drinking here.

I'd also like to bring up the band Presidents of the United States of America. They are fantastic, and not too many people seem to know of them.
I have two albums by them they're big in the UK... Mention the song peaches alot of people know it but don't know the band.

I Like Jesu, a welsh drone doom / post rock artist thats all I can really think of.. lol.
