My first post was on a topic about Hitler

"I don't think that many people find it offensive to use Hitler or Holocaust, or Nazis for that matter in sentences for dramatic and some times comedic effect anymore. Everyone agrees that Hitler was one of the Ultimate Douchebags, along with Stalin etc. But no-one I've met, Jews and non-jews alike, find it offensive. And the reason Stalin is hardly connected with genocide was because Hitler mostly killed jews, while Stalin killed everyone that stood in his way, as well as prisoners of war, and is for this reason not considered a racist, and many people seem to think that being a racist is worse than killing 30 million people because you're a power-hungry, paranoid old man."

Mine was a 'best level in Mass Effect 2' thread, I was claiming the awesomeness of Mordin and Legion's loyalty missions.

I'd been lurking on this site for years before that though.

Whoa, 46 pages, that's a lot to be me, just hobby-posting..

My first post was about if whether or not I had reserved GoW3 yet, and I said "No, I need the PS3 first" and then started complaining about what it costed back in 2009

"Hmmmm Monster Hunter, It went offline a while back.
Nobody really knew of it and it was pretty unpopular in North America."

Heh my first post on the escapist was about Monster Hunter. No surprise.

I've never seen a game set in a complete realistic, normal setting with the main character having hallucinations due to psychological problems. Kinda like a Welcome to the NHK video game, but more action.
Forum title was "Things that NEVER appear in games." and holyfuckingshit that thread just died about eight days ago. I think. Man I got quoted twice then no one ever payed attention to me for a while then I got in a huge argument on here, changed my name and now no one probably notices me anymore. D: So unloved besides the 10 friends who never talk to me~~~

Mine was about People who won't shut up about their favourite things. I posted about hating people who love Twilight. How original I was.

You know you've been playing a game too much when...

I haven't got L4D, but I was watching a bunch of youtube vids about it.

Later that night, I went downstairs and watched "Mock the Week".

Someone said a humourous joke, and the crowd exploded into laughter. Above the hubbub of normal-level laughter, two people laughed the EXACT two notes the horn plays before a horde-charge.

I freaked and hid in the corner of the sofa.

Oh, Hi everyone, I finally decided to join after a year of lurking

First post was to a Mass Effect 2 suicide mission thread, going over what people did, who these chose at key points and the results.

"have you ever tried to make a game harde for your self?"

I'm not just talking about turning the difficulty up.

I'm talking about making it much harder, such as when I played guitar hero I would put two sets of rubber bands around my fingers, just to make it harder.

Also, on Fallout 3, I turned the HUD opacity to zero and set the difficulty to very hard... I did not last long.

My post:

thats how i always play fallout =) (cept on normal). Urm? I played Metal Gear solid 3 only using the survival knife and no camo (apart from when im forced to use something els like an RPG)

It took me about a month to actually make a post after I made my account!
And suddenly, over this weekend, my post count has gone from 67 (which I've slowly made over 9 months) to 120ish.

Anyway.
My first post was in a news item - some guy from Valve said that I and my fellow Brits needed to speak more in online games. The topic quickly turned into 'No, American gamers need to belt up' etc. It ended up at about 18 pages of stereotypes of various nations.

My first post was a very kind answer to the sir who suggested that he would believe in evolution the moment he saw a building build itself...

Rejection hurts, but I feel it's a logical part of life. If you never get rejected, you wont know how it makes you feel in order to lower it's effects on you the next time it does happen. It's the same with a lot of other emotions and concepts, you need to experience them in order to grow stronger as an individual. In the kind of world in which we live in, it would be a very wise idea to learn it sooner rather then later.

Now, here's a ultra cute picture of a chocobo!

That was my first post.
Aww, that's such a cute choco... Wait what!? You're not even a month old and have that many posts? I feel like such a failure, especially considering I hardly do anything on the web besides browsing around the Escapist... Luckily I have a chocobo picture to cheer me up!

Mine was here: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/7.154830-Dantes-Inferno-Demo-Coming-in-December#3761963, and I also didn't use a capital letter. I am ashamed at myself.

As much as I love the old games, yes, it is time to put the hedgehog to sleep. Like Mario, there's not much left in them any more.

Do it before he starts to appear everywhere like Mario!
Well, here it is. The thread was about whether its time to lay Sonic the Hedgehog to rest.
[small]I don't really know what to make of that... it seems so long ago.[/small]
