If I remember rightly (I can't be bothered to go back and check), it was a thread about whether they should stop making Sonic The Hedgehog games. I answered yes (and I love the first three games), so it wasn't exactly an original answer...

That's almost 2 years ago!

Anyway, It was definitely in Gaming Discussion (my first 500 posts were entirely in that forum), but I can't remember what for.
You do realise there's a list of most of your posts in your user page, right? [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.55149?page=2#401717] Only posts that don't get mentioned are ones that have been 404'd and ones that are in User Group chat.

I wouldn't expect someone with a post count like yours to remember your first post off by heart.

Turns out my first one was on the topic of fine liquid beverages which I shall refer to outside of this quote as fizzy apple juice:

Hey, cider's in the lead? No-one likes cider! Round here (London), I get called a country bumpkin just for drinking it. Can't even get any decent stuff. It's all Bulmers and Magners... bleugh!

Though I do also enjoy a nice ale every now and then. And spirits. Not from a shot, straight from the hip-flask, like a real man.
Nothing wrong with Magners dude. Thought the best cider I have ever had was down in Cornwall and it goes by the name of rattler. I suggest you give it a go if you ever come across it.
Cider's awesome, especially proper stuff like Magners or Bulmers. As for me, best one I had was in Suffolk, but unfortunately I can't quite remember the name of it :(
I think I've kind of matured since then. Oh, and I went back to the brewery they were selling it at this summer; it's called Aspell's Suffolk Fizzy Apple Juice.

after going through 231 pages of posts, I find that my first post ever on the escapist was a month and 10 days after I registered, and was in a thread about bad game endings

I'd have to say the WORST was Devil May Cry 2.

Truthfully, I didn't know I was fighting the last boss, and then Dante drives off in a motorcycle, and when I expected the next level to come up, I got the "Review your level scores" screen instead of the "next mission" screen

and was very confused.

In a thread entitled; "Your worst moment with the opposite sex?"

ravens_nest said:
Good morning/afternoon/evening/night everyone, nice to finally make your acquaintance after following ZP for well over a year now...

My worst moment had to be a few years back now. I'm on a school trip in France, a girl (Lizzie) who I was friends with (and fancied) for at least two years is there too. A couple of days into the trip and everyone is hanging out in the hotel pool one evening. About six or seven of us are in the jacuzzi including said girl.

I'm kind of tuning in and out of the various conversations when I hear Lizzie declaring "feel around for me while i'm underwater"... I look at my friends, most are smiling pervertedly...Lizzie has gone underwater... I *cough* unashamedly attempt to "cop a feel".I grab what I think is a breast, and give a little cheer.

Lizzie bursts out of the water looking mortified and shouts out "I'VE JUST BEEN GROPED!". She wasn't a happy bunny. My face has turned a violent shade of magenta by this point. She then demands to know who it was...Everybody points to me...Nobody even had the courtesy to laugh because in that instance the mood had completely died.

I recieve a 70 mph bitchslap to the face and she never spoke to me again... (which everyone in the pool room hears)

It turned out she had lost her earring and was simply asking people to feel around with their feet...

The morale to the story here...listen, and don't take everything people say literally. (and I shouldn't be a perv)
....ummm....yeah....
HA! That is the best story of ALL TIME. Come to think of it, it also sounds like something that would happen to me. Actually, something a bit similar did happen to me...

Anywho...

The thread was entitled "Most disappointing game?" What it's about is self-explanatory. Here's my first post.

I bought this one game called Curse: The Eye of Isis cuz it sounded cool and I like Egyptian mummies and that kind of thing. God, what a suckfest. I forced myself to play for a little under 10 minutes and could not continue. But I did buy Star Wars KOTOR on the same day, so it's okay.
Nothing special. Just your normal, average post.

i dont recall it, ill look through my 3000 posts to find it.

edit: WOW, my gramma was shit back then.

"any of u tried to play titan quest? if u dont know what to do exactly, ur going to get hailed on with meteors or blasted with a fireball, maybe even crushed under a rock. also, the bosses looks amazing and badass. the act bosses is so awesome. the gameplay is very much like diablo.

think the final boss on act 3 and the 1 following is the hardest. the 1 following has these moves, each of them damages from 2-3 out of 4 parts of ur hp.

poison bolt, slows, avoid because it slows u, making u vunerable.
fire breath, kills u if u are caster specced.
thunder throw, deals about half ur hp.
meteors, certain doom, he channels them, so strike him while he does it.
drain mana, takes alot of ur mana. ur only hit if ur lose to him, tho it has a long range.
drain hp, takes 3/4 of ur hp and give it to himself.
thorny skin, damages u some if u strike him, its not much.

only way u can avoid this is to run around, mostly in circles, waiting for him to shoot the other way and then blasting his ass off.
"

-.-

Kinda hard to believe this was my first post:
My first post said:
Well, odd's are, with certain technologies being developed today, we may be able to bypass the whole growing process of a human and just grow the organ itself from cloned cells out of the transplantee's body. It's still in its infancy in Europe and can only make certain heart valves, but it is not a particularlyl long shot that we may end up Xeroxing organs for transplant.

That said, I don't mind the idea of human organ farms, though they would be a pain to pass by certain international laws regarding "human rights."

Wow... I started off on the wrong foot, a bit drunk and aggro. Oddly, didn't get suspended for it....
Topic was: You Find a Nuke in your Backyard.. What do You do with it?
Quote was: "I would misspell every million dollar word I know to describe what I'd do with it. Then, I'd shoot myself in the face so I don't have to live in a world with you stunted fucks anymore."

sorry for being a tool.

Yes, there are trolls, avoid them at all costs, spending too much time with them will cut your stay short.
