I got my warning when I completely freaked out and started rambling on about how the forum member who I was disagreeing with was a complete idiot and writing very passionately why I was right.
I do believe it was about life. He thought suicides were a-okay while I thought life was sacred.

I sent him a message apologizing for my behavior afterwards.

I've had one warning, which has been cleared since I got it. Myself and another guy were engaged in one of those "debates", on a subject I completely forgot about, where we made really snarky and shitty comments back and forth to each other, but nothing that expressly broke the rules. This went on for awhile and finally a mod warned us both under the catch-all clause of the rules.

Btw, how are people looking these things up about their past? I know I have a post history in my profile but I'm not going to go through each and every post to find the one I was warned on.

Because i made a legitimate thread about a real world issue which included a video and article, and i even included discussion and room for others to discuss. but for some reason the mods didn't like that so they removed the thread, suspended me, and didn't say a word about it...

(For anyone wanting to know, the subject was about a bunch of kids jumping off high walls into water. one kid slipped off the wall and fell on the concrete below and.... well... it wasn't pretty)

I said anyone who gave geohot money for his trial was stupid and I got a warning because I was expressing a general opinion based on the facts as I saw them. I hid behind some cover till the blood ran off my screen.

I got slapped with probation for criticising the re-design. Which is still awful.
Apparently pointing out the flaws with the visual mess they inflicted on us is grounds for that sort of thing.

Dunno, not checked in a while but I'm somewhere up near the red, on probation or something, can't remember my infractions, although I remember posting a fairly personal attack on someone who was being an ignorant ****, so it's entirely possible that within the rules of this nicey-nicey forum where you're not allowed to hurt anyones feelings I deserved it.

The mods here do seem a bit overzealous when it comes to cracking down on some things (low content posts which are valid within the context of the thread, for instance), but hey-ho, thats their prerogative, no point getting pissed off about it.

I have two infractions. One for necroing a thread (by accident!) and the other was a low content post I think.

Wait wait wait, you can get an infraction for necroing a thread? Even though everyone yells about about using the search bar?

Go to the user review section and post on a thread older than a month and you get slapped with a warning too... It's fucking bullshit.

You get the same punishment for that as you might by starting a thread, posting obscene images and verbally abusing people...

When I appealed, whoever I spoke to couldn't even give a decent explanation to my very legitimate concerns nor justify the moderation despite other people in the same thread! going completely unpunished.

I got a warning for making a joke about a guy who recently had bought his first gaming PC. Yeah, I kinda implied that since he was asking for a list of games, he would torrent them all because PC gamers are "filthy pirates".

I've had two warnings for low content - one of which was wishing a person who had just passed the 1000 post mark "congratulations". Seemed a little unfair.

My forum health meter is perfect right now though. It has been a looong time since the last warning.
