I'd have to disagree with you here. Once the door opens you can run to several other canisters nearby (I usually find that I don't need to use them all if I have a Striker)
Plus, the QTEs are remarkably forgiving IF you forget about trying to hit him while he's not frozen and focus on dodging (It's not worth getting smacked about by the guy)
P.S. RPGs rape him xP

Try saying that to the -first time playing resident evil 4- version of me. Oh and I got another moment. That fucking Estate level in MW2 where I got bullet-showered for 1 hour and a half only to finish the level and get killed either way. Smart.

Yeah, sometimes the battle system doesn't make much sense... but no battle can ever be %100 win so the max is %99.9 win. So the occasional knight chopping a helecopter down happens. That only happened to me when the tank was super damaged (the knight that killed it was the 25th knight to attack it that turn...). That is why (in civ4) I would put 50 tanks and 10 atrillery on one tile and go on a death spree. But I can't do that is civ 5... Oh well, now it will be a constant stream of tanks instead of one massive hoard...

Back to my WTF?! moment: I was playing Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and fighting Bongo-Bongo (the shadow temple boss). It was my first time fighing him, so I was doing bad. He smacked at me and I tried to dodge, but he nicked Link's foot and I died (it freezes and goed into slo-motion death). He hit my foot. And I died. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE *throws controler at wall*

Not the same word usage, but getting Copper Ore to drop in any of Vindictus's Bonus Missions is like...near impossible. I just can't seem to make any appear at any normalized rate, or at all!

the second you don't need it anymore, a bunch of it will drop.
Same goes for silver, had a hard time getting it until I didn't need it anymore. Now it's drops when I don't expect it to.

The bit I'm up to is too difficult, where you have to save Packie during the drug deal.

The mission where you first meet Packie? All you have to do is stay up in your perch and pick off all the drug dealers with your rifle. Whenever it says Packie is in trouble make sure you find him struggling with the dealer and shoot him before he kills Packie.

Personally, I hate the chase missions in GTA IV. All it takes is some moron turning onto your street at an intersection (usually a taxi) and *wham!* you lose your friggin' target.

Playing Ex Hard skirmish on Valkyria chronicles for the first time I have Alicia grenade a shocktrooper out of hiding and send in Aika to finish with her own grenade but as I'm setting it up a fair distance away the Shocktrooper just rains hell on me in a second and kills her.

Now usually this does happen when you let a shocktrooper hit a unit like a scout but it was how damn far away he done it.

INSIDE the city, where the buildings are and the taverns and the shops and all that...
at some point I stand in the middle of the town with my entire party...
AND A BALL OF FIRE FALLS FROM THE SKY AND KILLS US ALL!!!!!!

I later find out that the town is actually under siege by Ogres that are firing big balls of fire over the walls and one happened to land on my party...
COME THE FUCK ON!

Gears of war 2 act 3 chapter 6 "Brakish waters" playing on hard and have to throw the god damned grenades down this assholes throat 3 fucking times...I´ll manage 2 nades easy as pie, but the 3rd always misses...I mean...wtf...Also, Lost planet, Boss fight and energy gets depleted...I never finished lost planet...that one game mechanic ruined an otherwise epic game

Well, actually I don't get many of these points unless they are linear in style, and you can't do anything but in a special way. While playing oblivion for example, throughout the entire game I hardly killed anyone, mainly because I practiced illusion till max, then created a spell that was 100% invisibilty and no-one ever saw me... period.

In Assassin's Creed(and 2 and Brotherhood) challenges where you aren't allowed to be detected, and I nutralize a guard with a throwing knife. Even though he wasn't even looking at me, this attack instantly alerts the guard to full red before he dies, thereby making me desynch. What the hell? It doesn't matter if he noticed me at that point, because he died before he could call for help! And half the time there's no way he even knew where the knife CAME FROM! And yet the gun draws no attention unless a guard is already looking at you. It's a GUN! They go BANG! Said bang should ALERT GUARDS WITHIN EARSHOT! And yet apparently guards can't hear a gun going off but can tell exactly the position of a knife thrower by the disturbances in the air!

This only apply it to every stealth game I have ever freaking played.

Dante's Inferno when your down to the challenges is my personnel hell, only one of them though, that damn air attack section, shit it's not like Dante's a helicopter attack platform or something and I'd always get the clock to like a second to go and then hit the ground >.<

On Fallout New Vegas, me and Boone wipe out the entire Caesar's Legion camp by ourselves with no problem. Also playing on that realistic mode, if Boone had died, i would have had to restart cause I like my friends.

So we take out their entire fortress by ourselves, walk into Caesar's tent and kill him and all his guards wielding those damn powerfist things.

Easy as pie. (mmm pie...)

Then a little later, we both get murdered by a mob of cazadors.

It's not fair; I took down 10 deathclaws in a row; sit back with my hunting rifle, crit sneak attack that usually one hit kills. If it don't work then cripple a leg and kill while they run at you.

10 deathclaws and the entire Legion camp...and a group of cazadors kills us before I could get my riotshogun out. The only warning I had to know they were there was the message, 'Boone had died.' I look over and his corpse is being swarmed by ten of them and then I get gang raped by them.

I was playing TF2 as a sniper, I was about to get the achievement for dominating an enemy sniper, I had my laser sight on the aussie's head, when a spy stabbed me in the back. After that, the enemy sniper I was about to dominate left the game. I know, I know, that's how the game works. If a spy stabs you, that's all there is to it, and only a noob would QQ about it. But why then of all times?

I now use the razorback on my sniper. Should've done that sooner.

It has good reason though. It was made to mentally horrify you, if you read the books and went through all of the seceret stuff in the level, combined with the difficulty, you'd be shocked.

It's pretty much nightmare fuel, but they made it a little too hard, so it distracts from that mood.

I think for myself and my sister it was a lot of the old Zelda games, purely because of the way in which they screwed with you if you didn't know what to do. We refused to use walkthroughs, often, and the games were difficult when you were, like, 10.

First time playing Zelda II (NES) I died as I got the key to a castle door. When I revived the key was gone but not in my inventory. There's nowhere to buy a key and you don't get extra keys. I hit the power button, tore the game out of the console and launched it out of a 2nd story window.

Day of Defeat (1st Half Life mod) - when I died after I got hit by a random mortar while already boasting the lowest score in the round. As if life couldn't get any fucking better?!
