Haven't played it, but I hear good things. The multiplayer function just doesn't interest me at all, so if I am going to get it, it will be after the price goes down.

The SP was a great experience. Online was ok to start but after the hacks and glitches started to roll in and the patches took longer to release, started to take forever to find games that didnt cut out I just lost interest.

Brutally honest? I enjoyed it a bit. Not the greatest game out there, but it was still good.

Single player was good and had a little bit pf replay value, but it was too short. It also seemed to lack the "Believeability" of the first one. Yea I know its just a game, but going from a story that could easily be occuring right now in the real world to...the Ruskies invading America within the same story line just didn't do it for me.

Spec Ops missions were great if you had a mate to play with online, but were generaly "meh" if you were on your own.
Multiplayer was surprisingly fun. I'm not a Multiplayer kind of guy and I was surprised how quickly it sucked me in.

I love it. I admit that the campaign was kinda meh, but the multiplayer saves the game. I don't see why people say that it's worse than in COD4, even it's actually a lot better.

Campaign is fun, intense and insanely hard to follow (not exactly follow, but the plot just dictates I rarely play the last few missions of TF141). Haven't played online multiplayer, but my friends always enjoy split screen, even if the tiny screens on a 4 player map make our eyes bleed. Probably my favorite part (again, haven't played online, so I can give no comment) is the special ops. They are fun, avoid the annoying logic of campaign and with a friend, really sell the experience.

Solidly built but grossly over-hyped and overrated. Overall it's completely meh, and definitely not deserving of its success.

I found the singleplayer fun (if you disregard the conspiracy theory storyline), cba to put myself through multiplayer.

I think it is the second most overrated game of the 21st century. The first shall not be named for reasons that are all too apaprent on these forums.

In short, I think MW2 is pretty much utter trash. It's too arcady (unrealistic), too cinematic to be believable, and it feels like a lot of the weapons were just tossed in because, "They could." Hell, the ACR a.k.a. the Magpul Masada has not even passed all of its trials yet, and the civilian version is still in limited production. It may not have even been released yet! I am also not a fan of the, "Hide behind a rock until the icy hand of death goes away," healing mechanic that has not changed since the first Call of Duty.

On the plus side, the story is entertaining (and interesting) to follow. However, the campaign was just way too short for it to really be engaging.

The only thing that gives it staying power is its multiplayer and I get wiped by the pros so fast I say "fuck it" and go to TF2.

Story wise MW2 fails pretty good. But the action in the SP is good at least. Short but good.

For MP it's about as bad as it can get in finding a game.

Honestly, I just want to pick a server, stick with it for a hour or two per day. When I play the game. I don't want to constantly look for a new server.

Also with dedicated servers I was rarely if ever dced from the server. Unlike now. Where I get Unable to connect to host, Unable to migrate host, unable to find a suitable host(Even though I'm a VERY good host) and more problems.

It boggles my mind why they didn't go with Dedicated servers. The game has been cracked already so what's the harm in releasing dedicated servers?

MP still win on the action part. With fewer grenades and noobish matyrdom users things are actually fun when you get a good game. Which is rare to begin with.

Miss my M14 though. The FAL just looks ugly and have a shitty iron sight.

I thought the single player campaign was incredibly fun and amazing... all five minutes of it! Zing!

Okay okay, in all seriousness, I'm kidding. The single player wasn't fun for even five minutes.

Really fun with friends / if you're good at it (don't give a shit 'bout single player), but taking away the ability to moderate things (like nubtube akimbo and all that) really makes it quite rage-inducing.
If I had a penny for every tube / claymore death...

I really liked it. The Campaign was really fun, I really liked the Rangers part when your in DC, The multiplayer is great, the prestige mode really keeps the play value up, Though there could be more levels to play in. I liked the story also, it was surprisingly good. Someday I'll have to get the first one, since I've heard the story mode is even better.

(also, to everyone that says MW2 isn't realistic, realistic warfare is driving in a Humvee for awhile and Maybe shooting at some retards that can't shoot a gun, not riding in the back of a truck while a Helicopter shoots missiles at you and the busy freeway...just saying)
You're an idiot. If realistic is jumping a 200 foot gap from a perfect ramp at the end of a steep hill on a 400lb snowmobile, if realistic is where a group of 5-6 terrorists can work their way methodically through an airport slaughtering innocent civilians and not get caught or killed, if if you honestly believe that if you shoot a barrel and it will blow up or that you can catch a man falling off an icy cliff face at the last second, if it is realistic that your health magically regenerates after you have so much blood on your face that you can't see what gun you're holding; than I want to live in your reality. That way I can eat free steak all day and crap money (which is pretty much what Infinity Ward does anyways).
you sir are gunna start a flame war, be more polite when stating you're points, we are not 4chan.
I apologize for my previous statements. If anyone was really offended by them.

The campaign is made up of linear levels and a plot with more holes than swiss cheese, although the levels are wonderfully atmospheric.

But, as a person who never fucks with multiplayer because I almost ALWAYS hate it I have to say it's a pretty damn good game online. I've already prestiged once and probably will again before I retire the game.

Campaign is too short, but has some cool Hollywood moments. Spec Ops is a good laugh when played with friends. Online is pretty addictive although unbalanced in some respects. Can get a bit repetitive but still cool.
