Halo: Reach- amazing. I love it.

Plants vs. Zombies- not a fan of tower defense games, but this game is worth every penny.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II- They HAVE to make a third one. And that isn't just because I kinda want to see the next one, it is the fact that the clifhanger they left it on should require them by law to make a third one. But the game as a whole is fantastic.
If they do make a 3rd Force Unleashed, they better make it longer. I liked 2, but it was so short it felt like it ended right after I started. It took may about 6 hours to beat it, and even in that amount of time, I goofed off some and destroyed all the things I could destroy to see if there were hidden holocrons. So if I played straight through with no goofing off, it would have been only a 4 and a half hour game.

I'll still have to go back and look for a few more things. That really depresses me, because I really searched thoroughly along with my goofing off.

My point would be that some people buy a game for just playing the story part of the game and don't really care about collecting everything. For those people TFU2 was a tragically short game. One thing they could have added to the game was a fight with Boba Fett in some way.

I think Lucas Arts thought that if they ramped up the epic-ness of the some of the boss fight cinematics, that might distract people from how short the game is.

XBox 360, Red Dead Redmption ($60) - Worth it - An excellent game. Actually my favorite Rockstar game to date, considering I disliked most of the GTA series for various reasons. A variety of challenges, open & varied world, and great characters/voiceacting. Not to mention that this may be the first game for which I've bought DLC for, and didn't feel cheated on (the Undead Nightmare Collection for $20). Undead Nightmare made playing the game alone interesting again, pulling me back into it's campaign and the main.

XBox 360, Halo Reach ($60) - Worth it in a sense - The multiplayer has been updated to a point, and I genuinely enjoyed the campaign. That said I'm a huge Halo franchise fan so it really isn't hard to please me with the series. Adding a squad to play with for most of the campaign gave it a feeling that I'd thought the series was missing, making me not feel as alone and prone to "ghost in the shell/game" moments. Overall, I would say it was worth the $60 at most, though I will doubtfully buy the DLC.

PSP, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep ($40) - Worth it - Seeing as I lent it to my grilfriend after about a week of playing, I'll base my judgement on what I did play. A good series that has been scaled down, adding features that have been long awaited. The story as per usual the KH universe evokes emotions unseen in many current gen games, leaving me feeling fulfilled while playing. A pleasant feature I found was the co-op/competitive arena, allowing me and various nerds on my university's campus to play against/with eachother and level up. Levelling up! It has been made so much easier with the arena, no longer forcing me to grind through the same levels, leaving and entering sections to reset the enemies. Honestly, I think the arena made the game worth it.

The Ball - Yet to play
Dawn of War: Soul Storm - Haven't played much, but I wanted to complete my dawn of war collection.
Bloody Good Time - I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially since it was five bucks. I think I preferred the ship, but for what it is, Bloody Good Time didn't disappoint.

The three last game purchases I have are...

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West - Good, I enjoyed the first, 5 or so hours of this game (After Pigsy joins your group it falls apart though)

Fallout: New Vegas - Dispite the fact that this game seems to be designed not to be played, I am loving it, absolutely loving it!

Fable 3 - See Also: Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. Basically the third act pissed me off, everything else was awesome.

Dead Rising II- Pretty Good Distraction, not much else.
Atelier Rorona- Still working on this one though I kinda hate free form type games.
Fallout: New Vegas- Despite the bugs I'm hooked on it.
Overall I can't complain, not the choicest of all choice titles but still pretty sweet dood.

Divinity 2(360)- Yes. The ending was crap, but, it was still a fun game to play.

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles(GC)- No...Just...No.

Fable 3(360)- Eh, kinda. I sorta wish I had waited a few months before I actually played it so they could have had time to fix everything that's broken (which is just about everything).

I barely scratched the surface of the first game either so I filled in my gaps in Mass Effect lore and story by browsing the wikia, and the game gives you many oppurtunites to probe characters about the overall story arc which I thought was a nice touch as well. All in all I'd say don't be put off the 2nd game by the 1st, it's a completely different (and infinitely superior IMO) animal.
You got me. I read the wikipedia on the plot of part 1 and picked up part 2 for PC at a bargain. I just loaded it and started it and can already tell, you are spot on: this is infinitely superior to part 1.

Minecraft - For what I paid, I could have gotten several games, and none of them would have been this much fun! I will shout its praises from the rooftops! MINECRAFT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!1!1!1!111!!!!

ArmA2: Operation Arrowhead + British Armed Forces DLC - Both were well worth the price. I loved the U.S. Army campaign (although it was short), and Operation Crimson Lance was just fun. Plus, the voice acting was much improved.

Elemental: War of Magic - despite Stardock's CEO calling it a failure, I enjoy the game. Stardock has since released quite a few patches to bring the game up to par with Stardock's usual standard. It's not the greatest 4x game I have played, but the continuing support makes it worth it.

Dead Rising 2 - I guess so, but i'm still not too sure about it

And even though i bought it months ago;

MINECRAFT!! - Speaks for itself really

Tropico 3: I highly recommend it. Not everybody's cup of tea, to be sure, but I'm a fan.

Plants vs Zombies GotY: Wish I could get MJ back, but still a fantastic game.

Starcraft 2: Worth it now, incredible deal down the road. Blizzard games have a huge replay value, especially the RTS's with their custom maps. Another highly recommend from me.

Glad to hear that. Just got it myself, being a fan of The Ship, and was hoping this wouldn't end up disappointing.

hmm, let me look at my desktop.

Max Payne 1 and 2- My most recent, definitely worth the 5 bucks i spent and being probably one of the hardest game I have ever played (i died in the first 5 minutes). Something unique. Only thing i did not like was Max Payne 2 story, since the story tries to copy the original to much.

Orange Box- Finally got to play half life, portal, and TF2 all for $30. While i did have fun playing them for the time, the games have no replay value and it is like shooting myself in the foot to go through any one of them. $20 suits the worth of the games more.

Counter Strike Source- got this for $15 and definitely worth it. I like the mods alot more than the regular game (to much luck), and think they are some of the best i have ever played. Zombie escape is one of my favorite things to play since it is so much fun just trying to survive. Unfortunately the patch really ruined it, but still worth the $15

Starting from most recent:

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Bundle: I've only played an hour of Shadow of Chernobyl (Haven't even touched CoP), but it seems like a damn good game. I just have to get used the the bobbing camera when you walk, that's just annoying.

Monster Madness (iPod Touch): A fun, addicting little defense game. Although in order to level up all your weapons to the top, you have to grind the Halloween level like crazy.

Kodu (Xbox 360 Indie game): Eh. It's a game designing program, uses a visual system that works pretty well, but I'm just too fucking uncreative for it to be fun. Even though it was only five bucks, I kinda regret buying it.
