Amnesia Dark Descent: Meh, I might go back and play some more, but it wasn't really doing much for me.
Grotesque Tactics: Same as above.
Civilization 5: Worse than above, made me cry.

But before that I picked up Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale, which I've loved quite a bit.

Halo: Reach- amazing. I love it.

Plants vs. Zombies- not a fan of tower defense games, but this game is worth every penny.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II- They HAVE to make a third one. And that isn't just because I kinda want to see the next one, it is the fact that the clifhanger they left it on should require them by law to make a third one. But the game as a whole is fantastic.
If they do make a 3rd Force Unleashed, they better make it longer. I liked 2, but it was so short it felt like it ended right after I started. It took may about 6 hours to beat it, and even in that amount of time, I goofed off some and destroyed all the things I could destroy to see if there were hidden holocrons. So if I played straight through with no goofing off, it would have been only a 4 and a half hour game.

I'll still have to go back and look for a few more things. That really depresses me, because I really searched thoroughly along with my goofing off.

My point would be that some people buy a game for just playing the story part of the game and don't really care about collecting everything. For those people TFU2 was a tragically short game. One thing they could have added to the game was a fight with Boba Fett in some way.

I think Lucas Arts thought that if they ramped up the epic-ness of the some of the boss fight cinematics, that might distract people from how short the game is.
I felt that way, too. The game was short, but I think it was suiting. I also got into a very large debate with several friends about the cloning of Jedi. What do you feel on the matter?

Red Dead Redemption - very much worth the cost

Halo:Reach - not worth the cost, to me at least (traded it in for credit towards Fable 3)

Fable 3 - I bought it for my girlfriend and she's already beaten the game, so yes

Way of the Samurai 3 - I just got it for myself for $25, and it's been completely worth it

Minecraft. Oh hell yes.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Oh hell yes.
Owworld: Abes Exodus. Oh hell yes.

Such wonderful games.

Until this thread, it hadn't dawned on me that I'd bought 6 great games in the last 2 weeks.

Transformers: War For Cybertron - pre-ordered and picked up on day one. Totally worth it. I still pick it up and play multiplayer for short periods. It's basically the only online multiplayer I bother with at the moment. Before I got it I used to play Resistance occasionally, now not so much.

Infamous - Picked it up cheap, because I'd been meaning to try it for some time, but the demo's climbing sections felt more like jumping up a wall than actually climbing it. In spite of the lack of "unfinished build of the game" disclaimers, the full version felt better in this respect. I'd bought Prototype on release, and still prefer running up walls and being overpowered, but Infamous was easily worth what I paid for it.

Alpha Protocol - Also picked up cheap, but at an expo for about half the current store price. Definitely worth the cost. Have only played through fully once so far, but am in the process of a second playthrough and already planning a third.

Minecraft- Most definitely worth the $15 I payed for it, unfinished or no.

DJ Hero (1, used)- A lot more fun than I thought it would be. Fun mixes but they do get repetitive. Still worth the price I payed. Will probably buy part 2 when funding allows.

Dead Rising 2- I already owned the first game and really liked it despite it's flaws. The sequel addresses those flaws but is now too easy. Beat it with an S-rank ending in 3 days. Still worth it though, there's still plenty to do.

Assassin's creed 2: only 18 bucks, and I found it well worth my money. I absolutely loved the setting, most of all. Exploring was a blast.

Left 4 dead 2: Haven't gotten home to my decent computer to install it yet. But it was 7 quid, so undoubtedly it's a good purchase.

Bioshock 2:
[HEADING=1]Fuck. Yes.[/HEADING]

Let me just say, all the reviewers saying it wasn't as good as the first were liars. Filthy god damn liars.

SereneGoose and MiracleOfSound convinced me to buy it.
They rock.

Edit: I want to add my fourth game: Mario galaxy 2, full price.
So worth it.

Every penny.

Fallout: New Vegas - Picked it up on release day and put 20 hours in it. My first impression was it reminded me of the Firefly series and the initial level of difficult is pretty steep. Contemplating finishing the DLC's for FO3 before I start up on this one again (it was cheaper to buy a GOTY version than to buy the DLC seperate for my original copy).

The Saboteur - picked it up in a walmart cheap section and it's the primary game I'm playing right now. For $20, it's been worth it even if EA has given up on the game. Kinda annoyed that I have to play on a lower resolution in order to actually use the in-game map

Metro 2033 - It was 50% off on Steam and I enjoyed the STALKER series and read the metro book (first book I read on a ereader). Haven't played too much of it yet but it has a very similar atmosphere to the book so far.

Not planning on buying anything else for a good long while until I clear up some of my backlog games (damn steam for putting on good sales!)

1) Super Meat Boy: awesome game, but I'm hitting a wall and its starting to get frustrating
2) Rock Band 3: Its a Rock Band game... with a keyboard! Need I say more?
3) Fallout: New Vegas: Played it, beat the main quest line, was disappointed and sold it.

On the horizon- MINECRAFT!

1) Black Ops - totally.. i love the call of duty series and the new multiplayer features are fantastic in my eyes

2) halo Reach - yes, i really enjoy halo (cue "fangirl" bashing here) but i found i got bored of it pretty quickly.. im sure i'll go back to it again one day soon though

3)Red Dead Redemption - absolutely. the game may be glitchy as hell but the story is great and the multiplayer is constantly getting new updates with DLC that keeps me interested (fyi the living nightmare dlc is super addictive)

Fallout: New Vegas: A definite keeper that'll last be for months on end...=)

Halo: Reach: Once again I've bought a Halo game and returned it the following week (I never really liked the series, but with each installment I've tried to give it another shot), when will I ever learn Halo=Crap
-_-

God of War Collection: I'll get around to be when ever I'm in the mood. Better than GoW3 most definitely though.

Civ V - Definately worth it, the game is so enjoyable and has huge game life.

Fallout NV - Its buggy as hell and constantly screws itself with flying npcs and what-not but its fun and hopefully a bunch of the bugs will be getting fixed. Also you can mod the crap out of it :D

Axel & Pixel - fun little game and didn't cost me more than i spend on lunch so i can forgive its short length. That said i'm still replaying it and having fun.

So yeah my last few purchases have been worth it.

Not sure if I've posted here yet.

1. Fable 3 - Eh. It sucked, but it was still a Fable game. A bad Fable game is still better than most other games.

2. Fallout: New Vegas - Fun game, but unplayably broken. Spent so much time struggling with freezing and audio problems that overall it wasn't an enjoyable experience at all.

3. Vanquish - Haven't even started this one yet.

Vanquish: Bought this at full retail price. It's a short game without a whole lot of incentive to replay, but I enjoyed it every second of it so damn much that, even after coming to the end of the campaign after just 6 hours, I still feel it was worth every penny.

Black Ops: The campaign was underwhelming, but the multiplayer is the best yet. Zombie mode is incredibly good fun and all the hidden little extras make a great overall package. I'd have liked a better campaign, but over all I don't regret paying full retail price for it.

Kinect, Kinect Adventures & Kinect Sports: It may come as a shock, but I'm enjoying this little bundle of joy entirely too much. I've always been a "core gamer" and, accordingly, hated motion control. But I picked this up on whim (a $200 whim) and haven't looked back. I'm still not convinced it's the future of gaming, or that any "real" games will ever be playable on it, but for the time being, my girlfriend and our friends are very much enjoying flailing like 'tards in front of the TV.
