I don't play as mages because of how poorly-written magic is in most games (I'd say it's one of the biggest weaknesses of Dragon Age, for instance).

Paladins. I find nothing appealing about having my class abilities dictated by alignment (which can change over time) or by the alignments of other people.

Warriors, but only because I'm usually the comic relief within my RPGs, so usually I end up playing as a Dwarf or a Halfling (I am often used as a weapon or ammunition, thank you for asking), while my friends play the more serious classes.

I'm not sure if this counts, but my least played is a healer class. I don't care for it too much as it feels boring to watch people's health and pay little attention to the fight, unless it's a fight where you have to avoid AOE or target damage.

Warrior classes. They are generally pretty boring in my opinion. I mostly go for rogue/sneaky/stabby types maybe hybridized with a magic using class for extra oomph (i.e. The Grey Mouser from the Lankhmar series).

The "Tanky" classes. Y'know, Paladin, Beserker, Warrior, etc. They have to get so close to the blood in a fight, It's not hygienic. I prefer so shoot them from a range where they can't see me or burn them (and their germs) to hell.

Healer classes are a problem in MMOs because they're so freaking dull nobody wants to play em. Yet they're essential to have around on big group raids and stuff...

Better that they pair a healer with another trait. Like mage/healer (druid) or warrior/healer (paladin)

TBH, I never quite understood the difference between a cleric and a paladin in D&D. they both heal, they both turn undead but the paladin seems to be an armored warrior where as the cleric is just a divine magic mage... kinda weak by comparison it seems...
Now i don't know about 4th edition, but the main difference in 3.5 is that Clerics have a much, MUCH, greater number of divine spells at their disposal, these spells are often also different from paladins. As a result, they are kind of two sides of the same coin, the paladin is much stronger in melee, but clerics can heal and do other spells much better.

*Edit anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, its been quite awhile since i actually got to play

To answer the Op i would have to say i hate playing as a bard, i know they are jacks of all trade, but i just feel silly at the idea of playing an instrument or singing during an intense battle. (I am aware its possible, i just feel i might as well just stab the bloody orc instead of cheering on my teammates while i play/sing a song)

Probably mages. I had a pretty hilariously OP mage in Oblivion, but other than that, I tend to stick to stealthy, ranged, or tanky classes.
Nothing against them, just a personal preference.

I'd have to say healers. Just not interesting to me, from a gaming perspective or a roleplaying perspective.

Also, straight-up fighters that aren't some kind of fighter-mage or fighter-thief hybrid. I usually play mages, so if all they can do is swing a hitty-stick, I'm likely to get bored. Hybrid fighters, now, are fun. I've got a thief/archer/berserker build in Skyrim that I absolutely adore, and am almost reluctant to put aside to level my mage alt.

I never play healers in video games. Healing is just so tedious for me that I would rather be working for free then doing it. But I can play a cleric or druid in d & d thats totally different.

Wizards/mages.
I've played healers and I REALLY like the paladin type of character (white knight, healer, damage and tanking, jack of all trades and useful for everything but sneaking).
I also love rangers and rogues/assassins.

Just...wizards and their ilk. I don't like using them, even in things like DnD where they have such versatility I would rather not play as one. They're useful, I'll want one on any team, but I don't want to be them.

I also generally dislike pure healers but I loved playing the medic on Resistance 2 so :p

Well, sort of yes. That is certainly the intention behind them. In practice, though, the paladins are kind of shitty while the clerics rule the game. Because magic > everything. And the paladins are just shinier fighters who trade extra fighting ability for a straitjacket and access to few weak spells. That's "few" there, not "a few".

4e gives everybody a level playing field (well, sort of) and also manages to differentiate between clerics and paladins more than "one is a holy dude, the other is a holy dude with a sword".

Usually stay away from hunters and rogues. They don't really work for me.
I do love burglars in LOTRO though.

I don't usually like rouges or stealth em' up characters. I prefer spell casters or spell swords.

Rogues for me.

In the party, i generally fall under the roll of "Heal-Bus", and never got to play one. When i did get to, i found it boring compared to the other classes ive played. It has its merits, but id rather play a different class.
