I was going to say Fable 2, but I thought of one that hurt me more, The Force Unleashed. The stupid thing was that I even went into it thinking I wouldn't like it, and yet for some reason it still hurt me. This is why I'm not looking to Force Unleashed 2.

Fable II. I was so excited coming up to the release - i had watched all the videos, interviews, etc. I had even pre-ordered it. And then i got it. And it sucked.

I don't need my video game to try and be my nanny. And would it have been so hard to put in a difficulty setting?

And that is why i am a bitter gamer who tries to never look forward to anything - although i still do.

Dawn Of War 2. I wanted a DOW with more stuff damn it! Not a re-skin of COH! WH40K doesn't have 3 'squad' units or Machine Guns that take time to emplace and use.

Most dissapointing game ever:

Overlord.
Yea Overlord is at the top of the list. Still surprised it's getting a sequel.

A close second is Legendary that game had so much potential but the story line dropped it so far down nothing could bring it back.

GTA 4, I thought it would be like San Andreas with a few extra thing but no they had to make it suck.

Spore.

The only game that ever made me wait outside a store before opening time. I was promised millions of alien species, instead I got a million different appearances for the same 10 or so races.

You would run into repetitive dialogue and quests by your 10th conversation. It happens, surely, but this was in a game that had promised unlimited possibilities.

With out a doubt "Borderlands" I've had it for 4 months now and only about 3 hours of gameplay...I just don't have the patience to get to the fun part. If that will ever come...

Bioshock 2
Spore
Fable 2

Bioshock 2 was decent, but I can't force myself to play through it again. Spore was incredibly shallow. Fable 2 had a pretty good questline, but the quests were few in number.

I think title explains itself. Mine would be Fable, Morrowind, Oblivion (I'll explain them in a second), and maybe Battle for Middle Earth.

Now, I'm sure that there's going to be some people who are Bethesda Fanboys or simply want to know the reason for my choice, in Morrowind and Oblivion I felt that it didn't make much use of it's world and setting. I mean, you check one part of the world, and you basically have seen say the equivalent of 50 hours of the game world. The NPC's didn't show much, say, real interaction between each other as well they could have been, also I do not like much the RPG system.

Anyway, what are your most disappointing games?
Oblivion is my most hated game ever, next would be Far Cry II and Mass Effect II.
Notice a pattern here? They're all sequels!

Overlord, GTA IV, Far Cry 2, Prey, Rainbow Six Vegas. Those games could have been awesome, but they were just disappointing.

Fable II.
My friend hyped it up like it was the holiest game to grace the Earth. When I finally got to play it (he had it for a while (he beat it) before I was "allowed" to touch it) it was a big disappointment.

EDIT: whats wrong with Overlord? Its just Pikmin for men. I never had high hopes for it and found it pleasant.

I'll probably say Spore after you leave the water, Fallout 3 was just bleh right along with Bioshock. I'll probably give Fallout 3 another chance since I've only played a little bit of it but Bioshock was just one tedious and annoying game to me

Probably Darksiders.

I wanted that to be so good, I even was convincing myself it was for a bit, but in the end, it just sucked too hard.

sadly I'd have to say brutal legend, it was amazing up until the Lyonwhite battle, after that the game rushed way too quickly to the end and the second faction, final faction, and final boss were all the same fight, I heard that double fine was pressured for time by EA and had to rush the game out without adding the final faction campaign. which would explain all of the mutiplayer maps that aren't in the single player. The game would have been perfect if it were just a little longer.
