One does not simply use the line gun because the ammo is supposed to be rare.
One does not simply lane as Leshrac against Lion.
One does not simply fight Juggernaut 1on1.
ONE DOES NOT PUSH THE LANE.
One does not simply play through a bad game, one RAGEQUITS.
One does not simply play one more turn.

oh and regarding the ships in FTL: if you want to check out the other ships you can just download the config file from someone who has them all.

One does not simply build a fortress in Dwarf Fortress.

One does not simply lose a fortress to a siege.

One does not simply build a megaproject.

ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY ANYTHING IN DWARF FORTRESS.

Except checking the Wiki.

That's the only simple thing in DF.

OT:

One does not simply leave containers unsearched

One does not simply leave pedestrians alone

One does not simply "beat" the flamelurker

One does not simply stomp the corpse a single time

One does not simply fuck around while playing competitive RTS games online.
One does not simply forget to save in games with unskippable cut scenes.
One does not simply keep pressing through quickly while listening to an giant owl.

"One does not simply follow the roads in Skyrim."

What is that? A nice road that will lead me directly where I need to go? Pfffffft - I'm going to climb the hell out of this mountain.
Lol. It's so true.

Oh god, in Skyrim I've had about a hundred on these moments where something is not working properly. My favourite one of all time is this though:

Brynjolf told me to meet him down there after I completed his little pickpocket quest, but he never came. Instead, he stood at his stall where all the merchants are as if the quest was never completed. To fix this, I had to sprint into him and push him inch by inch to each door leading to the Ragged Flagon. It was quite the journey.

From a previous WoW era:
"One does not simply walk into Icecrown"

I found it amusing because there were several easy ways to get into Icecrown but walking wasn't one of them. It also adds to the effect that Icecrown was very Mordor themed.

I'm sure LOTRO will generate lots of similar memes soon.

Since Wasteland has been getting so much attention lately, it's probably time for a new one:

One does not simply kill the High Dragon in DA2. I'm dead serious,it took me a while. And that was with good equipment, items, and a Spirit Healer. Also, did anyone else KILL Anders in their Playthrough of DA 2? I saved him back in Amarinthe, only for him to kill the Grand Cleric just to prove a point?
yeah it definitely takes a specific team/strategy consistency, there were a couple times where my spirit killer was gang raped in the matter of a few moments so i had to quickload to the beginning of the fight. I did kill him because i found his method lacking and i didn't want to piss off others/the prince.

This, so much. I don't think I've ever followed the road all the way to High Hrothgar. I get to a certain point, and then I come across a mountain troll or just get tired of it and go over the top of the mountain until I end up right in front of it. One time I even ended up in their little courtyard in the back.
