Don't worry. Not only is your Silent Hill choice less favourable, but I would imagine you picking ODST as your favourite Halo will rub people the wrong way too. That makes me smile.

In all fairness to those people, Halo 2 is the better game but I enjoyed ODST more

I've always done this by game series and not by individual games. This is going to suck super-balls.

Half a dozen of these could change at a moment's notice, but here goes.

And yeah, there's a fucking billion honorable mentions, and since I usually rank by series and not by individual games, my top ten would look quite different from this. Fallout and Elder Scrolls would be in there, the entire Ultima Series including the Worlds of Ultima spinoffs would likely be #1, and strong individual showers like JA2 and the MMOs would slip. On a single game basis though it's pretty hard to disregard games you sunk hundreds if not THOUSANDS of hours into. And then I can't even make room for emotionally potent story experiences like To the Moon, Walking Dead, or Bioshock Infinite, all of which hover around outside of the top 10.

Very difficult. This was painful. Top 100 next time, plox.

So, yeah. I think my tastes are pretty easy to pinpoint. FPSs and Adventure Games, mostly, and I'd say that the games in positions 1, 2, and 3 are really on equal standing. I'm standing by Doom 3 and Doom II being better than Doom one, though.

I just realized that dividing by the total number of people is kind of irrelevant, dunno why I put that in the OP; I guess I was pretty tired when I made the thread, the top one will be the top regardless because every number is being divided by the same...

Anyways I'll put up the first list soon, counting it up now.

Also: Come on people, can you just read the OP? This is a fair deal of work for me and it makes it more difficult when you do things like adding irrelevant information like what platform the game is for or saying you have two games tied for X place.

I respect your inclusion of Remember Me. Although it got overshadowed by other games on my list I very much enjoyed it.

I also wish I could put ODST on my list; I loved that game simply for being something else. But the fact of the matter is that I just find Halo 3 the more enjoyable experience.
