#1 The Art of Avoiding Fights, taught by Aikido practitioners also. Simple stuff like, take a step back, don't walk into dark alleyways, don't flash your jewelry, Diffuse the tension, negotiate, intimidate, run away.

#2 Running Away - Used by Samurai. When faced with a huge group of enemies, the Samurai runs, as they run, the group is scattered according the the fitness of the enemies, turn around, kill one or two and continue running, eventually they will give up or you can go back and kill them. I propose to take it to the ultimate step, just keep running.

#3 My Gun is bigger than your Gun. Pretty simple, if they have black belt, you have gun, if they have gun you have machine gun etc etc. Until all humans die from a black hole generator weapon.

Full contact Karate here! That shit is serious. I also know some Judo, which is great and rounds it off nicely.

I've studied Wing Chun for a couple of years, never been in a fight, but managed to talk my way out of some ugly situations knowing I could defend myself if I had to.

I couldn't help but chuckle when the guy performed the "Captain Kirk". Indeed, CQC is quite impressive. I'm not much of a fighter myself, but I am proficient at fencing with both a foil and an epee if that counts.

I use what ever weapon I have in hand, going from umbrella to pen to grappling, I'm just slow at reactions.

My fav fighting Style:

Shooting at my enemies from quarter of a mile away with a high power rifle. Then calling in a precision air strike. Then getting 50 of my buddies armed to the teeth with as much body armour and weapons as they can carry then perform a rapid helicopter insertion to clear up the stragglers.

This is following the mantra of "Don't bring a knife to a gunfight... bring a rifle and at least 12 of your buddies armed with rifles too. Grenades as well."

Martial arts are great, but no substitute for overwhelming numbers and superior firepower.

This may sound lame, but I have this trick where I run toward the person, a bit to my left, I stick my right leg out a bit in front of them, put my right hand behind my neck and push.

I have gotten into very few fights, but when I do, that little trick has never failed to get someone to fall on their face, it is very satisfying, I actually learned it while messing around with some friends on a trampoline.

Also, I have taken some fencing, and I found a lot of what you learn with epee (maybe foil, I ALWAYS mix these two up) swords (blocking and thrusting) can be translated to fighting (punch = thrust, arm = sword), the basic disengage (hard to describe, you basically put your sword against theirs and spin it a bit so they miss when they thrust) translates surprisingly well to arms and punches.

I subscribe to the Gordan Freeman school of close combat - you are helpless unless holding a heavy, blunt metal object.
