That's the nicest one I have. Romance and success are mutually exclusive concepts.
That sucks... Maybe mine will help you feel better.

>Girl meets boy
>Girl dates boy for 3 months
>Boy confesses to having several "illegitimate" children
>Girl marries boy anyway
>Boy turns out to be douchebag
>I tell both "I told you so", and punch boy in the stomach for hurting my sister
>Spends many long nights alone with smug but hollow satisfaction
>Swallows more antidepressants
> ...
>Success

Haha!

yeah... nevermind...

>Be 16 and virgin
>be working out for 3 months, high confidence
>Go out on Easter with brother and 2 of his mates in his car
>Meet some chicks in another dudes car
>dudes want to leave, chicks come into our car
>squashy in back seat me squashed up next to hot chick
>we start to talk and flirt, she shows me naked photos of her on her phone
>3-4 huors later atfer alot of driving around we end up at beach
>I finger her, we have huge makeout

>next night, we chat on FB and text, I get her to come over
>watch movies all night, on my bed, flirt around
>4am I about to go to sleep, make her horney
>end up having sex, she thinks I'm not a virgin because I was too good
>feel Alpha
>2 weeks of awkard texts and her taking hours to reply or not replying, calls me up drunk everytime I try to invite her out she makes some stupid excuses.
>I know somethings not right, call her, I get told a bunch of bullshit
>end it with level head intact

Not really romantic, but I thought it was something interesting other then a story about a long stable relationship.

WHAAAT? You ONLY kissed her? Oh my good how old are you? Nine?
Next time try something like that: "Anything? Really anything? Well, you know by chance I brought this nurse outfit along, would you kindly put it own and call me Doctor House?"

okay my story, don't know where to start so let's do it from the very beginning:

> fast forward
> very lonely and nerdy life till I was twenty
> first love, I was a complete utter moron - EPIC FAIL
> was meagerly successful but got dumped later on by an 9 years older woman.
> Mickey Rourke like falldown - EPIC FAIL 2.0
> heartbroken resigned believing never having girlfriend again.
> fast forward (years pass)
> chatting with a fellow student
> she is sending me witty flirtatious images of strawberries
> fast forward a week, first date
> Me Brought strawberries => Epic WIN
> City fair
> was wearing my special occasion self made t-shirt: "You can tell me about your problems, AFTER we had sex" => Epic WIN N°2
> gave me a confidence boost +50 by the way
> At some point while waking through the fair I just grabbed her hand and held it
> she didn't took it back. "Oh my god - I'm fainting - she likes it"
> fast foward
> kissing
> more strawberries
> fast foward (use your imagination)
> 6 years later she still has "stonking great tits" and all
> we probably sound like every average couple now

That reminds me, I should probably get hold of some strawberries soon.

>says she is a lesbian (I wasn't sure then if she just say that or if she actually was)
>leaves it for 5 months but continues and develops strong friendship with her
>asks her and a few friends out to Cyprus where I live
>Before I leave for Cyprus ahead of her confess feelings and get rejected again for same reason
>she and friends come out and have great time
>Fast forward a few months later and I still have feelings for her this day
>AAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH

> Naive high school student, fucked up by a childhood full of religious brainwashing
> I meet a girl, we talk, eventually we're talking on MSN and making phone calls nearly every night
> I start visiting her house, her mum loves me and her stepdad thinks I'm good for her
> Never been happier, I really thought she was the one.
> One day we're making out and she starts going down my neck and chest, I think she wants sex
> Start responding (just kissing her the same was she was kissing me, basically)
> She pulls away, horrified
> I go wtf, but she dumps me then and there, and the next day her furious stepdad visits me
> I'd never had anything like this happen before, I end up dwelling on it and am fucked in the head for the next two years. Overreaction maybe, but what's done is done
> To this day I still don't know what I did wrong
> Girls love me now, but only because I don't walk out on them the moment they friendzone me (which is every fucking time)
> Still a lonely virgin who has friends, but no fulfilment in love life

She and I were just naive teenagers - one with mental problems, the other with daddy issues - who needed attention and found it in each other, in the worst possible way.

I don't happen to have any romantic successes, in any way, shape or form. The female gender is one that does its best to try and avoid me, no matter what I can do.

To be honest, OP, reading the situation you just described made me die a little inside. Apologies if I sound demeaning.

>Later, her friend says the girl has a crush on me as well
>But the girl has a boyfriend...
>One week later, they break up
>Now we're going out.

It's not much, but I'm happy.

>My friend enquires if a girl (who I've known for about a year) has a date to the school ball
>She says no
>I ask if she'll go with me
>She says yes
>We go to the ball together

That's as successful as I've gotten.

Uh, yeah, I'll go with the "no success" crowd (mainly because I've never given any effort to it). I don't doubt I could be successful if I just had the courage to ask someone I like out but I'm afraid of the whole rejection thing.

All of the success stories are cute, and touching..and make me very sadface, just because I'm a little jealous. I'll wander over to chill with the foreveralone.jpg crowd.

It isn't that I've never succeeded romantically, it's that said success ended so recently I can't talk about how it began without getting all upset.

Alright then, now for my horrible dating record.

>Come to a new school
>Dislike all the girls there
>Act like a general douche (as I honestly do not care what people think of me)
>Get hated by just about ALL females
>Eventually have a crush on a girl
>Girl hates my guts
>I can't stop thinking about her
>Sad face D:

>Girl likes me
>I don't like her, but we keep talking as friends
>Fast forward one year, sophomore cotillion coming up.
>Wondering who to ask, decide to ask her as a friend.
>Realize she's the best fucking girl ever.
>Ask her out.
>Still dating!

Still feel like an asshole for essentially friend zoning her, but our relationship is going insanely well. We have yet to have a fight. We've been dating for 5 months.

Some may consider that unhealthy. In reality, we've had nothing to fight about.

Here's mine:

>Volunteer at soup kitchen.
>End up washing dishes with two girls I know but aren't really friends with.
>One of the girls jokes about wanting to stand next to me
>Other girl (shy) blushes
>Sit down and talk to them for a while afterwards
>Start talking to the shy girl whenever I see her in the hall
>Start going out of my way to walk her to class
>She invites me to Pizza Hut with her friends to celebrate her birthday
>I ask her to Prom, she accepts
>Both spend a year at a community college seeing each other almost every day
>Move away to different colleges
>Drive 3 hrs every weekend to see her
>Transfer to her college
>Get an apartment together
>Get Married
>3+ years later, lay down with her to help her fall asleep, get up and write about it here on the Escapist.

Life is good.

Moral of the story? Volunteer. ;P
