Your "School" Anime Awards

With the recent anime threads about it got me into thinking about the animes I have seen in the past. I realised that a good portion of them are set in schools and I've always just thought of them as typical school animes. So, I'm wondering what other people have seen, and how they rate them. Perhaps there's been some good ones out there that I've been missing.

There's grey areas of course, for example I'd say Love Hina is definately on the line as it's mainly about getting into University and it's a bunch of teenagers.. nah I won't accept it.

List the school animes you've seen and then award them: (My mind is blank so feel free to make up your own awards, but at least list your best one, the awards don't have to be positive either)

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - *Best Story* (Most of the others didn't have a story, so it's hardly a well earned award)
Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan - *Most Perverted*, *Most Random*
Uta Kata - *Most Depressing*

K-On *Guilty pleasure award*. I don't want to like this show, but I can't help it. Its awesome.

Haruhi *Accidental awesome series discovery award*. I just watched it because I wanted to see the famous ending theme song dance. Ended up being one of my favorite shows.

Lucky Star *Most widely seen characters*. Those guys are everywhere. I saw them in avatars and sigs all over the place so I hunted down the show.

B Gata H Kei *Most initially underrated totally badass show*. I watched 5 minutes and quit. One day I was bored because Arakawa Under the Bridge wouldn't update so I gave it a fair chance. Watch this show. It is fucking hilarious.

Disgaea 3 *The not an anime but still deserves to be here award*. This game owns.

I wouldn't count it and no there is not. There is however a live action movie which I enjoyed quite a bit.

The sequel sucks ass though.

His and Her's Circumstances(Kare Kano)anime- Best balance on angst, knee slapping hilarity, and sparkling romance ^^

School Days- Most disturbing, sadistic and well...melodramatic


Ouran High School Host Club- Manages to epicly awesome despite the blinding shades of pink, baby blue, and a storm shower of flowers and metrosexuality lol

Haha for me the haruhi and lucky star are switched. I accidentally discovered lucky star and I saw haruhi everywhere and looked it up (I'm pretty sure haruhi even appears in lucky star on the tv?)

Also, Disgaea isn't even school related, cheat =P There is a Disgaea anime though.

You'd probably like School Rumble.

I've heard Endless 8 was justification to make the Dissapearance of Haruhi into a movie, but don't quote me on that. Personally, I feel that Endless 8 would have been perfect at 3 episodes long. First episide, normal. Second episode, Yuki tells everyone what's up. Third episode, problem resolved.

I actually watched all 8 episode of Endless 8, though I had to space my viewing out over about a week. At least the episodes afterwards showing the development of their movie and the birth of the Mikuru Beam made up for it all.

These aren't really in award format, but whatever.

Azumanga Daioh- I have a friend from Osaka, so that kinda made the show a little funnier at times for me.

Lucky Star- Way better after the second director took over, and it was great till the end after that. The manga is just as good.

Haruhi- Other than the 'Endless Eight', it was good, but I like the light novels way better. Still haven't seen the movie yet.

I haven't actually sat through any others that are centered in school life settings.
