Everything is pointless. No matter what it is, no matter how permanent it seems, it will one day be destroyed or forgotten. But happiness is good, and we might as well get enough of that as possible while we can.

Never expect anything good from anyone (not necessarily something material, in friendship or whatever as well), that way when they do something nice for you you'll be surprised. Also, the vast majority of people are shit, make sure you befriend the few who aren't.

++prepare for the worst, expect the best, and don't get too hung up on the details. that's kind of like yahtzee's "it makes the most logical sense to be pessimistic: if it's good, great; if it's bad, you've lost nothing", except i view it more as optimistically pessimistic. i don't pour my heart into something new (not even relationships), but if something's going well, i'm not gonna rock the boat unless it's already rocking.

++we all live as individuals on this planet, but we all contribute to the same life. so many of us live a one-dimensional life centered around our own selfish wants, with not even the slightest concern for anyone or anything around them. if we all found a way to understand our neighbours, our communities, and ourselves better, the world would be a much better place. but, i know "if"s are, and always will be, theoretical, and that the world we live in is the best we can do as a species. i can live in hope, but i've got too much living to do right now to be willfully ignorant

The universe is infinite. Therefore, if something exists at one point in space-time, that something must then exist at an infinite number of points. I exist at this point in space-time. Therefore, I must then exist at an infinite number of points in space-time.
Wrap your minds around that one. It's a challenge, I warn you.

Live every second like it was your last.
You mean screaming in pain and losing bowel control? No thanks :p

For me; Be adventurous, be open to new experiences and try everything (within reason) that you think you might like. At the end of your life you should have done what you wanted, and completed most of what you wanted to. The best part, is you will actually know what it is that you wanted to do instead of completing some list of generic goals along with the other mindless cretins.

The rules of the game never change. Humans always want more than each other. The rules are always to survive, whether through strength, intelligence or teamwork; and whether the survival is in the jungle, war, the cities or the office. The world is a game of Battle Royale.

My own philosophy? I suppose it's along the lines of "I'll do what I need to do to live and be happy but nothing more."

-If you don't have hope there is no point in trying.
-Always give 110% even when your chances of succeeding are 0%.
-Don't just try to live, but live to try.
-Everything has a purpose.
-Everyday is a gift, not a given right.
