it works for Simon BelmontThedek said:Whips work well if whatever you are fighting is very lightly, unarmored, and susceptible to pain.evilengine said:There have been many colourful hand-to-hand weaponary so far, wrenches, bare fists, crowbars, daggers and so on. I thought the other day, what would I pick as my basic melee weapon if I was video game protagonist? I like the idea of a whip, with it's cool cracking sounds and flashy tricks, whereas something simpler like a large spanner would be more satisfying to whack an enemy with. With so many possibilities it's hard to decide what I would choose.
So I ask you, readers, what would you pick as your signature melee weapon?
As you could almost literally stunlock something to death with a bullwhip due to them being half incapacitated due to pain.
Also in TF2, the pyro has a fire axe and his taunt is to air-guitar with it.aether-x3 said:Fire Axe or Electric Guitar.. they just so happen to be some of my favorite Melee weapons from L4D2 <<;
Oh, actually, I just kinda needed an excuse to use that "Dagger Dagger" picture. However, you're right: some of the coolest weapons are the ones that aren't meant to be used as so. For example, Chainsaws, believe it or not, were only used for cutting wood when someone said "Wait... this would be a badass anti zombie weapon!", and it was made so.blind_dead_mcjones said:i wasn't trying to be derogatory, if anything using a garden trowel as a weapon is even more badass than using something that is designed from the get go to be a weaponDfskelleton said:Lol, I know. It doesn't sound as badass when you put it that way though...blind_dead_mcjones said:a sledgehammer, straight razor, and a brick in a sock
funfact: kunai is little more than an glorified garden trowelDfskelleton said:Twin flaming kunai on barbed wire.
For those who don't know what a kunai is, it looks like this:

Fine, new option: The dagger dagger!
