My three favourite characters are already in my favourite game: The Nameless One, Dak'kon, Fall-From-Grace in Planescape: Torment. They did as well as is possible but it's not a very happy ending for most of them.

Hector from Fire Emblem.retty much cant be harmed and controls the Axe Armonds.
Samus from Metroid.:Its Samus....enough said.
Johnny from Guilty Gear.:Smooth ladies man with incredibly fast and powerful sword techniques.

And they are trapped in Metroid Prime.

I'd have them in the world of Mass Effect. Old Snake was locked up in a cyrochamber if anyone was wondering. I think they'd make a badass team really although Snake would probably butt heads with Samus but later on get along with her I bet.

I can imagine Okami letting Wander ride around on her so he could slash around and use his bow, plus take out any really big enemies, Okami could use the brush techniques and a weapon so the two teaming up would be deadly. Max though all hes got is the Ridepod and a wrench so i dont think he can do much.

The game they find themselves trapped in:
Halo

The Arbiter rallies the support of the Sangheili, Ashley is hesitant at first about trusting them but works through it regardless and grows to trust them. Meanwhile Ben Carmine, ever the enthusiast, starts trying to cut through many brutes with his chainsaw gun.
Sadly, as it is written in the stars, Ben Carmine does not survive.

As for Ashley and the Arbiter, well, they live. Kicking ass on the Ark for a while before the Arbiter goes one way to help the Masterchief and Ashley goes another way and returns to the SSV Normandy.

*Might not technically be my absolute favorite from Mass Effect (that ones' Wrex) but she is my favorite female and I figured that gender diversity in this super team would be a good idea.
