Elitist cunts for the most part! Put me off registering for a bit then I got really bored at work one day between large projects so I decided to sign up and post a bit. Thankfully things have settled down considerably and its generally a pretty entertaining read!
My first post was about how frustrating the Meat Circus was in Psychonauts.
My first thought was probably something along the lines of
"Hey a gaming site that's NOT G4."

This was mine, improvised weapon thread:
"luckily for me, my family keeps about 1 million loaded .22s all throgh out our house, so ill probably use those(assuming i cant get to the 10 mm or the shotguns) but if all else fails, i have an obscesion with looking around for potential weapons whenever i enter a room. also, we have an aluminum baseball bat and an epic screwdriver(i shit you not, its like 2.5 feet long and about an inch thick... dont ask.) and a couple bowie knives in various places."
While everything here was true, the awful spelling, grammar and capitalization are something I'm ashamed of. I was such an immature, weapon obsessed idiot back then. I still love guns, but more from an engineering perspective and less of a killing one.
I also thought I was epic because I omitted details for most of my guns. *sigh*

I think I was just surprised at how nice and polite people were being. I had recently checked out 4chan for the first time, so that may have coloured my opinion a little, but still, I think people here seem to be nicer than most forums.

Then it turned out 98% of threads are basically pointless personality tests, with news and teenage angst making up 1.5%.
The other 0.5% of threads are actually worth participating in.
I should mention I really only visit Off-Topic, since the games I buy are very few and far between these days.
