I have no idea, the whole thing just confuses me. There was a thread recently called "RL girls are 3d pig disgusting" or some nonsense like that, it was about how some people find real women disgusting because they have bodily functions and might not like you.... it was weird as shit.Eccentric Lich said:Wait, really? I had always figured it was what Colour-Scientist said. The truth is much more sad and hilarious. I've got a serious question for those of you with waifus. How does that work? How can you devote yourself to someone who you know doesn't exist?General Twinkletoes said:Not exactly. A waifu is an anime character that you like as if it was your girlfriend. Like a favourite character in anything else, but taken a bit further.Colour-Scientist said:Those shorts kinda make it look like she has a giant white bush.
OP: I don't have a waifu. Is it just an anime character you want to bone?
OT: Nope. Never have.

HA! That is too funny.Soviet Heavy said:Mine is only a waifu thin!
No I do not have a Waifu, because I don't want to date a two dimensional being. I can appreciate characters, but I don't want to fucking cuddle them.

Yay,create a few more threads like this and the internet's kitten infestation will be solvedZhukov said:A kitten dies every time someone someone says "waifu" with a straight face.
Please, think of the kittens.
Basically this entire post.shrekfan246 said:I think it's funny how seriously people are taking this thread just because of the term used.(Even if they are overreacting on purpose.)
I don't have one, 'cause like I said in a thread a few minutes ago, I don't tend to get very attached to fictional characters, but if I had to pick I'd probably go with Chie Satonaka.

Actually, I think it's a little disconcerting how easy it was for me to make that choice...
Ugh... no disrespect but I'm not into BBW! =P And the exposed rivets... *blech* Well, each to their own! ¬_¬Dirty Cop James funs said:You're all wrong!BiscuitTrouser said:SckizoBoy said:?! *****, please!

***** please this little lady knows how to do it old school. Not only was she unafraid to be different but her looks have refined with age. Do we see anything as majestic as this nowadays?

look at her sides, size and beauty! You will never she anything like her. Ever.
You are right. She is also the protagonist in the spin off manga/anime To Aru Kagaku no Railgun (A Certain Scientific Railgun).SckizoBoy said:Fairly certain it's To Aru Majutsu No Index (A Certain Magical Index)...Legion said:Didn't copy the image to save peoples screens, but what anime?Talaris said:If I chose a manga/anime character that had a persona I liked and found attractive to look at, it would probably be Misaka Mikoto.
You're right in that it is usually the proper definition of the term, and in Japan attachment to 2D characters is a big issue. Within this thread I had assumed it was used lightly to mean who is your favourite fictional girl, in the same way the western world took the term "Otaku" and and used it incorrectly to define anime/manga hobbyists.fapper plain said:Pretty sure waifu is more along the lines of an anime character (normally female) that someone feels attached and attracted to, usually to the point where they don't have the greatest grip on reality.
Hence the creepiness factor.
