A rack filled with video games and movies, okay, I'm sitting fine to wait out the zombie apocalypse. Slow zombies'll be decaying in the streets quickly enough and the running zombies'll wipe out their effective means to spread before they can do too much damage.

Also doesn't hurt to be in the Western US where there's miles of nothing to just kite the suckers until they stop moving.

Aw crap, a sofa and some cushions. Perhaps I could hide behind the sofa or under some cushions until they move on. Then I can sneak to my right and get my Katana...
Well, this depends on how far "left" is. If it means "within my reach" I have an electric pencil sharpener, a small clock, a printer, my iPhone, and a case of 96 pencils. I could sharpen the pencils into improvised stabbing weapons, but that wouldn't do me much good.
If left is "within my room" I have a guitar hero guitar, two bokken and a shinai. And finally, if left is "within my house," I have two WWII bayonets in my garage.
