I heard from someone that an Entrenching Tool is apparently meant to make a good weapon against zombies, not to mention it would be handy.
Why would digging a trench stop a zombie? If anything, you'd trap yourself. Wait, wait, are these zombies who can use guns/artillery? Like super-duper zombies?

I'd go with a fire axe, a .45 caliber handgun and an M-4 carbine with an under-barrel shotgun or grenade launcher attached.

Winchester Rifle
Colt Navy
Broadsword.

yep, I'm ready. Just got to make it to the garage and get the armoured truck they use to transport money and then gather some supplies. I should make the 3 mile walk.

M134 Minigun - and shitloads of ammo (Yes, shitloads is a SI unit :) )

FN P90

Beretta 92F

With this, i think i could handle the worst of the zombies. The Minigun should keep them at bay.

A Shaolin spade or fireaxe, a crossbow(as someone already mentioned, the ammo can be made for that)and a pistol.

Since I already own several guns I just have to choose the ones I think appropriate.
My Cugir Arms PSL - Sniper rifle based on the AK platform with 1000 meter scope and bayonette.
My Winchester model 12 pump action shotgun.
and my Taurus Raging Bull chambered in 454 casull (alot cheaper and more available than any .50 cal)

This plus a minimum 1,000,000 rounds of 7.62x51mm ammo in as long belts of ammo as is practical. Preferably in a nice high vantage point with only one entrance.
All I need is a good vantage and every zombie in the surrounding half a mile is in pieces. Providing I could use/aim/control the thing, considering it fires at a rate of up to 1,300 rounds per minute.
what a nice choice, i had some opportunities to play with this gun during my army service. When fired with a tripod it has real good accuracy as well. And its sound is awesome ;)

my choice would be this thing, close range but maximum fun

I'd pick my trusty .357 magnum special as my primary, an over under combo shotgun .22 rifle as my secondary, and that piston thing that Chigurh from "No country for old men" uses.

Crossbow.. a combat knife for last resort, and maybe a steel-lined almost airtight suit..

Seriously, I don't see why people are so pro-melee, if you get infected via their blood, slicing one open right infront of you is a horrid idea, some blood will get on your face, possibly your mouth/eyes, then you're fucked..
Get a hold of a full face gas mask or any helmet that has a face protector (fire fighter's helmet for example) and you won't have to worry about getting a face full of zombie blood.

A crow bar, a fire axe and an M9 pistol (small, light, easy to use, and the ammo is just fucking everywhere).

Crowbar, it's a multiple purpose tool. Also a great zombie killer.
Yeah... just about any melee weapon really. metal bat, sword, hammer, staple hammer (favorite thing ever), Bo staff, crossbow. Of which i have all of these... although the crossbow isn't exactly much of a melee.

Zombies aren't scary.

and i suppose a Beretta. As long as i get a green beret i'm happy.
i'm currently reading "The Zombie survival guide" by Max Brooks and I feel I have to correct you here. Any Meele weapon wont work very well, it must be able to destroy/disconnect the brain in one clean blow. otherwise its useless. best meele things against zombies are Machete, crowbar, shaolin spade or Trench spike.

and yes, i think you would find zombies pretty scary after reading up on the virus itself.

all i gotta say.

Hm...A bow and arrows, titanium crowbar and a HK416 or M14 or a Ak-47, something reliable!

That thing would be just epic for exterminating zombies, so long as you didn't run out of fuel.

A bag of socks, because Nerf guns are too visible, and they jam too easily.

Oh wait, are we talking about a real zombie apocalypse? In that case, A silenced pistol and a crossbow, with a small axe or a hatchet for an emergency melee weapon. Take it from an HVZ player; it's better not to be seen at all than it is to go on the offensive.
