Okay, sidearm- M9
main gun- M60 (reason why- Heavy powered only if grouped with other survivors) otherwise M4
Secondary - Katana (reason why- need a melee weapon)

Crossbow (silent kills)

Molotov Cocktails (Burn 'n' Run!)

Halberd (Trip 'em bitches :p)
crossbow is great, plus reusable bolts, easy to use

molitoves, now you have burning zombies instead of normal, at night it will attract more

leggless zombies = landmines in grass above 7 inches(will happen fast in zombie apocalypse)
Those burning zombies would have falled and died by then. And no NOT CUTTING THE LEGS, just tripping them and then stabbing them

Primary Gun - Spas-12 (Discontinued in 2001 but still a versatile combat shotgun)
Sidearm - M11 (Boot worthy storage and a decent size, not too clunky)
Melee - Crowbar (Not only a useful weapon but i could also break into things, if no crowbar was available id machete it up).

All things considered, a bow.
Arrows are often reusable, and you can make your own arrows.
Also, it's silent. (Crossbow is an alternative)

Sure, it might not be the fastest and most intuitive thing, but it gets the job done.
Also, it's the zombie apocalypse. With the experience you will get, you'll be legolas in no time.
gotta suggest the xross bow, easy to use, seriously instructions can be read on the side of them, bolts are silent, and they can be fired much farther and with more force than any human can manage with a bow
How are breakage rates on bolts, and how easy would it be to make new ones? I agree with you though, the xbow is superior. Maybe the bow is faster though? And possibly easier to find/make ammo.

Hum... lets see... A Katana for close range, if that counts as my sidearm then I would take a shotgun with high ammo capasity, low recoil, and high power. Then I would take my .22

The .22 might not have the highest power but it does have very little recoil and it doesn't have that much recoil, plus it can still kill anyone I need to, including zombies. Cuz lets face it, unless you cut them in half, totaly obliterate them, or shoot them in the head, your not gana kill 'em.

hmmm I would have to take a katana, a semi auto rifle probably like a M14 or a FN FAL and then finally a gun that shoots shuriken and lighting.

Xbox = More precision, less fatigue, more power.

Bow = Not easy to use at all, needs strenght which you WILL need to run, your muscles won't provide as much strenght as a spring

Hmm, you've never read The Zombie Survival Guide have you? Pistols and shotguns let Zed get to close, so if you screw up your chow.

My Weapons:
Simonov SKS carbine (or copy): Semi auto to avoid wasted ammo, 7.62 rounds do alot of damage, fixed wooden stock with steel plate incase Zed gets close.

Hallagan Tool: Good multi-purpose tool for opening/clearing blocked passages, heavy enough to smash skulls.
Haha, I like this guy.
You're forgetting the long range crossbow. The perfect long range silent zombie killer.

hmm, if it is a 28 days later kind of zombie, im fucked unless i get a suit of power armor and a minigun.
if it is Left 4 dead kind of zombie, well i would go for a claymore, whatever pistol has a gigantic fucking magazine (a bullet through the brain kills, don't matter how big it is), and a small, wieldly sledgehammer.

if it is the slow moving kind of zombie, i would go for a Naginata with a steel reinforced shaft and sharpened bottom (just in case), a magazine fed shotgun of any type (no expert on weapons, so i cant name specific guns, just dont want to have to put each bullet in individually, dont have that kind of time) and a good old fashioned glock (or any pistol with a high magazine capacity, like i said, dont want to have to reload often or for very long)

a group of people slower than me... and a tranquilizer rifle to make sure they're slower than me.
ahh that made me chuckle, niceeeeee. nice.

OT: my melee would be a crowbar. its a pretty useful tool outside of combat, maybe not as much use as other melee weapons but if it gets me outta a tight situation, how can i say no!

my primary weapon would be a scoped crossbow. this would be for stragglers, just to clear the path. can reclaim ammo aswel.

my sidearm would be a 44.magnum revolver. this is if things get hairy and i'm making my exit. i wana make sure the shot does enough damage that i don't have to look back.

Vz.58 with underslung R870MCS. The M43 round has a good degree of stopping power for its size, presumably zombies won't be hoiking around any firepower of their own, so the range and precision of the NATO 7,62 round won't be worth the relatively limited amount of ordinance I would be able carry. The Masterkey gives a quick exit if things get a tad too hairy, and can be reassembled into a fullsize shotgun if, for whatever reason, the Vzor gives out, or if ammunition for it just becomes too scarce. (Now, if only they'd make one based on the R1100! >=) )

As for a sidearm, can't go wrong with a good 'ol machete. Sure, pistols are great for people who don't want to get their hands (too) dirty, but nothing sucks more than running out of ammo for the last weapon you've got on your person =\

(A lot of people would say, use a pistol, not a knife. I'd say, if you're in the sort of situation you need a pistol, you shouldn't be shooting, you should be running, and you can run faster without the ammo for a pistol, or the distraction of trying to reload it when the shit hits the fan. The only targets you need to concern yourself with are those that are within striking distance, and directly in your exit corridor. Besides, everyone knows you run faster with a knife ^^)

Guess people like pictures, so here's a Vzor 58: (it might look like an Kalashnikov, but don't let that fool you! If anything, this rifle is a descendant of the Bren gun!)
And here's the masterkey. It's designed to be used, as the name suggests, to open doors, but in a pinch, it'll give you the stopping power of a 12gauge. I'd say the lack of balance and smaller magazine capacity are a fair tradeoff for having it at hand whenever you've got your rifle ready.

I have my weapons for the Zombie apocalypse already!

Angel Sword Katana (Google Angel Sword)
Glock 17 (9mm ammo is plentiful around the world for when you have to scavenge)
Although I'll prefer to use my shotgun.
Handle for my low profile jack it's about 3 1/2 feet long and hefty, but breaks down into 2 pieces if you need to, I also have a couple nice Bokken.

I want to pick up a compound bow also.

Lets say that I know what I don't want
1) no fire! (molotovs or flametrowers): zombies = bad, zombies on fire = worse
2) heavy equipment (rocketlaunchers-gatlin guns): zombies can't shoot so if I move faster then they can I'll win!
3) loud weapons (.50cal) I doubt zombies are deaf and even so firing such a weapon will make you go deaf and pretty fucked later on
4) weapons where I need to reload or pull back the handle every shot! I will be spooked so i'll miss, don't make me panic and start reloading when something is nearby

what is left?:
Submachine guns (light and noize supressor) - automatic sniper rifles - melee weapons (well loads of choices here, but lets keep it simple: sharp or blunt with a good range so I don't need to come closer then necessary) - pistols

If I were staying at a place, say with a roof, I would use some sort of SKS Rifle. I find them better than Sniper Rifles. Less recoil, less noise, less loading.

For moving around, I would have a Machete or a Metal baseball bat. It has a less likely chance of getting stuck in the flesh. I don't care for handguns. Possibly a Shotgun. Though, I'd prefer a SWAT Uniform over anything else. Protection.
